What I think is "wrong" with fans is that some of them seem to think they KNOW what it means to be a fan and can judge other people's thoughts and opinions. Let people receive Ayu in their own way.

Well for one thing, that CD didn't have the same kind of marketing power behind it since she was a nobody at the time, and also her vocals were radically different. In my opinion, they sounded awful. She succeeds now because she is an established icon with heavy exposure plus her musical talents have improved.
