Kago did choose to become an idol though, so she was probably been told about behaviors and stuff (if the company had just randomly suspended her she could sue the company back).

Yay, at least we agree about something.

And I agree, she did choose to become an idol, but it could be argued that since so many members of MM join at a very young age, especially Kago and Tsuji being only 12, that they couldn't fully grasp or appreciate what they would be getting themselves into. Also at that time the Morning Musume audience was very different from what it is today.
Apparently Maki Goto's brother Yuki was fired from Up Front because of underage drinking. Let's hope they don't go that far with Kago. I guess we can just hope for the best.

He's ruined her entire career. I doubt she'll be able to get back into the buisness by herself. Personaly, I think the whole "idol" thing is corupt and perverse.

I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on Tsunku. From what I understand, these kind of decisions are all made by the parent company UFA, not him. I can't imagine him treating the girls this way since he himself knows what the media can be like from being in the band Sharan Q. Tsunku himself is essentially an employee of UFA I think.
