Read read somewhere that her lyrics is basically from her own personal experiences and sometimes, about her friends experiences too. I think it can also depend on the season, because she often releases a summer single. And also, it can depend on the things she endorses. Example, "Born to be..." which is an empowering song which goes with the Olympics.
