Then again Koda Kumi was pretty unknown at that time (2002). In 2003 she got popular because of "real Emotion/1000 no kotoba" and eventually outsold them.

In the 4 main Avex female fronted groups, they were 3rd sales wise. (ELT, DAI, DAT, globe) At the end of their career they sold 43k of their single "Kimi to aeta kiseki" and 30k of "Yuri no hana". I can't find sales numbers other than these.
