music is music, you like what you like, so just enjoy it.
Exactly, that's what I would say if my sis asked me why I liked it [not that she ever has, I could talk for ages on why I love it) but I feel I couldn't tell any work colleagues (not that there'd be much to say lol, I don't think they listen to jpop lol) because there would be too many questions etc. Not that I'm ever really asked about what music I like. I was walking over to Tesco at lunch one day when a colleague asked me what I was listening to and I was like urm...radio (was actually listening to My Story, think it could be Carols).

Onto the obsession topic, not sure if this is just me. Sometimes when I'm going over to Tesco at lunchtimes I'll go over the same time as one of the other guys, who's nice and all but we don't have a lot to say to each other. I actually walk a different way from him so I can listen to some jpop lol. Cause sometimes when I walk with it's total silence & I'm just thinking "could be listening to some jpop now, come on I need my fix"

And LMAO at your dad's comment Akurei about all your CDs falling on you. I'm jealous of your collection too lol!

EDIT: thought of a kinda random thing to say. Ever since I've realised how big my jpop collection is, I'm going to concentrate on listening to some of my older CDs more often (which I anyway, but not so much recently cause I've been buying so many CDs). My sis always asks me "do you actually listen to all your CDs" and I can say that I actually do with the exception of 1 album and ok maybe some singles (but only cause I have them on the album) Oohh I'm feeling all nostalgic for Adagio by Sweetbox now. Anyway listening to Kumi's affection right now.

SECOND EDIT:

I can see what you mean. My collection isn't that big (about 35 CDs?) On one hand, I wan't to buy more, I really want to have a big collection. But on the other hand, I'm kinda skeptic about having so many CDs, like what I'm going to do with them when I'm older, like, an adult. And then I think, "When I'm older, will I still be into collecting?" I think about the whole maturity thing also. I try to not think about it. @_@
Yes! Your whole post sums up exactly how I feel. I've always been a bit of collector (even my mum says so)

I've enjoyed reading everyone's responses to this thread BTW
