"ladies night"
# ?
Umm, it seems nobody seems to get it so I'll try to show you what I'm seeing.
Okay, at the beginning of the song; Ayu is like (I don't know what it's called so I'll say...>) telegraphing out her message to the baldheaded ladies b4 the actual grand meeting in the colliseum (sp? LOL). Okay, the second Ayu is walking confidently down a hallway (place) she's been before. On the little trolly thingy that she's pulling is an elephant (MAN) carrying two little pink animals, I think they are unicorns I'm not sure (they are WOMEN). The little animal she has in her arm is like her security blanket almost. Like of like Paris Hilton's doggy except this one is just a toy and in a way it will do everything she wants it to do. It's the same thing with the elephant, if he wasn't controlled by the "cuteness" of the two unicorn-things he wouldn't be holding them at all. So basically, Ayu is like this beautiful person who's never had to work too hard to get what she wants. & everything around her reflects what she needs to know before she can go anywhere else.
So, moving along; she has the key, the looks, the "cuteness" to get her through the door she wants to choose (perhaps her path of destiny); but it's not meant for her to go through that particular door so she tries the next one. They all do not work. So finally, one door works and it happens to be the Butterfly lady's room. (hmm? what's with Ayu & butterflies these days...anyway)
The butterfly woman is a lady that is almost like Ayu in every way as far as your first appearance of her. She batts her eyes because she's a very "fluttery" kind of person. Everything she does is quick and without thought. She's exactly like a robot in this case. The masks on her dress are unpainted (did u notice the masks?) they represent that every part of her really is just fluttery-fake. She's so quick with life that she hasn't spent much time building her own self.
A butterfly is a beautiful creature; but it's also delicate. If you were to smash a butterflies wings it would probably die from the pain. So with this lady, if you were to take away all of things she had (we'll say riches 4 an example) you would crash her world down. This is like Ayu in very 1st appearance u should have gotten of her before this moment. The lady and Ayu are trapped in this cage of the typical "stereotype" of a woman (hence the one butterfly in the cage she carries). They are ONE in the SAME. Same issues, just different women.
Ayu opens another door after this; the door of "earthly knowledge & truth." It's almost as if she sees the light; THE TRUTH.
Next: are the bald headed women walking up to Ayu now dressed in military garb. The women are all marching together as one force; meaning that we are all almost the same...the weird thing is that well you'll see a couple of lines down...
Ayu is a dictator, ruler and commander of these women. They are her army (that's us LADIES...^^ LOL). She's telling us women; don't settle for his garbage, be strong enough to defend yourselves. Lookout for the signs, be aware of the danger of not noticing them.
The thing is that these women (that's us) have no ears; so we are applauding to something we cannot hear. Ayu's message is not getting across to us.
[The airplanes that fly above Ayu don't have any symbolism that I am aware of so far...they are supposed to imitate WWII I guess...aren't those plances from back then???]
Alright, so after seeing that socialite-Ayu panics. She can't handle the truth so she turns around frantically looking for somewhere to turn to when she finally sees herself with no face.
NO FACE AYU => ayu with no identity. She has conformed to society's rules and whatnot for so long that she can no longer hold up her own face. She stares back at the viewer; delivering a message: KEEP YOU IDENTITY; NEVER CHANGE FOR MAN (in this case this means the world).
Ayu runs away into an elevator> this represents the ups and downs of life. Instead of going up to another level of thinking like she should've if she'd have accepted the truth; Ayu goes back down to the place she knows. Her insecurities and mental boundaries are holding her back from mental-evolution. She can accept being more than just a pretty-girl. She'd rather stay that way than be intelligent. Dictator-Ayu is the woman inside of her basically trying to come out but socialite-Ayu refuses to let her go to that point.
Okay, there are other parts in the PV I left out to explain at the end::
THE FRENCH MAID
The french maid is whipping this lady into shape. She needs to be punished for something that I'm not to sure of. It reminds me of the my name's WOMEN performance at ARENA TOUR 2004-2005A. It's like she's beating some sense into her. The lady she's beating almost looks like a teenage girl so basically she's beating her into woman. (beating=> forcing this girl to believe in the same thing Ayu ran away from)
In the background *just noticed this myself* there is a statue of a man & he is chained up...this woman (the french maid/whoever owns this room) promotes female dominance just as dictator Ayu.
THE ALIENS IN THE RED ROOM
They're objective is the same as the french maid. All they are doing differently is hypnotizing the one they are trying to save through the eyes. The one with the long hair is the one who has thought this way for the longest. So b4 this scene she has already converted the other three aliens in the background to this "strange (alien)" way of thinking. All she has to do is finish the last one.
AYU ON THE TELEPHONE
Ayu is calling for help. She doesn't know who to call but we can all assume that it is a man. When we run into trouble with anything the MAJORITY of us turn to a nice strong man...whether he be our fathers, our brothers, friends, boyfriends or even husbands. Whoever fits the case, that's who we mostly run to.
The problem is the man Ayu depends on is not a very good one...and you'll see this later on in the PV.
AYU IN THE ELEVATOR (part II)
Once she's inside, Ayu thinks she's going to just go back to the way things were. Little does she know that she'll have to pay a price 4 knowing the things she knows. Destiny plays a very cruel trick on Ayu and crushes her inside the elevator (basically just crushing & erasing her memory of what she saw).
AYU & HER MAN
It's a little clear that this man is probably mentally & emotionally abusive to Ayu. You can see the fear/dead look in her eyes as the camera zooms in. Basically, he's just taken the life/confidence out of her once again. The telephone remains off the hook so that Ayu may never try to call/remember this place ever again. It is clear that since she ran back to this life she must not want freedom too bad.
::screams 4 joy:: can't believe I'm finished; so did it help out a little? If not; ask me a question & I'll explain it to ya! ^^
