Once again, I apologize for it being as long as LADIES NIGHT & WALKING PROUD...it's hard for me to explain things the short way b/c I want everyone to kind of fully understand it. (Kind of like how a deaf man uses his hands; I use a lot of words. ^^

ENDLESS SORROW

Hmm, have any of you all watched the movie, "Equilibrium"? Well that's what this PV is kind of about.

Today, we live in a world where the freedom to speak is slowly turning into a "requirement to be quiet". Have you ever noticed when someone says something powerful or voices their opinion they end up shot down or sometimes even ultimately killed for it? That's what this video is about; oppression in silence.

In the beginning, we see a black man singing a song of freedom. He is immediately arrested for doing so.

If you pause your video just right, you will see that the two men talking on communicator devices are discussing that the government will eliminate all those who threaten it's control with the power of voice. Moving along we meet a little boy I personally call, "Angel".
Angel is a little boy who was like all of the other children; born with love and life in his heart. But unlike the other kids, Angel didn't let the world of today mold him into what everyone else wanted him to be. Somehow up above, an angel from heaven sent him a feather fluttering down to the sky. This feather represents wings (aka: freedom). With this feather, comes hope.

In the world Angel lives in, freedom of expression (feelings) is also taken away by the government. Angel can't even confide in his parents about the feather without them telling him to be quiet with their fingers. And at school, Angel is left feeling estranged from the rest of the class because of who he is inside. He's not like others and it shows clearly through this PV. The only one Angel can confide in is his mechanical dog...Which represents someone who is "programmed" just like everyone else.
So oneday, Angel decides to get to the bottem of his curiousity and climb up the tower. The tower represents like Mount Sinai (you know the mountain Moses climbed). It's where he will find all of the answers that match up with his questions. On his way up, Angel sees an elderly man who in the past has tried to go where Angel is trying to go. He points Angel in the right direction and prays for him to be like a messiah and save the rest of the world.

Also inside this building, are all of the people who ever tried to break the law of silence. As punishment their throats were cut out so that they would never speak again. (These people represent free-thinkers. They are good people all around...All they wanted was the freedom to keep being themselves).

As he reaches the top he sees himself as an angel waiting just for him. Looking down to his family and the world below, Angel mouths along to the chorus and says according to translation:

"Even if there is
No wing left for you
There is still
One wing left for me
Together... together..." (from masa's translation in the lyrics board)

At the end of the video, Ayu receives that very same sign and takes it willingly. It is in this video that her message rings clear; Ayu somehow believes she was sent here to keep the cry of freedom ringing loudly. And if we believe in freedom of our voices, we should have faith in her. In someway, her songs will set us free from our chains; but only if we let them.
