In the sense of Hey x3 there are multiple artists on each episode, so it has the overall appeal of more people. That and the conversations are actually entertaining & funny, so you want to watch them more. Also, most of ayu's guests were classic artists & people in the pop world who were already very well known; Hey x 3 was a good place to discover new music, and the artists were more popular in the short term so people were more excited to catch it. I hate to say it, but no one was probably DYING to turn on Ayu Ready because Akiko Wada, The Kano Sisters, or Beat Takeshi were gonna be on it. They're cool and all, but very "eh" to most of the japanese audience at this point.
