It might lack originality but I clearly do not think there are many other alternatives on summer songs with this type of theme.

I agree with this. Its just that she keeps on giving us this "one" genre of summer songs, that just happen to create tons of images about the beach, etc. There is more than one way to create a summer song, and that is what she needs to work on. Something like Chihiro Onitsuka's "Sign" comes to mind. I would absolutely die if Ayu made a song like that, it'd be wonderful.
