All I can say about the BLUE BIRD PV is that the colours are excellent! Rich, vibrant, I think it's so beautiful! If only fairyland had accentuated its colours and made them equally rich, it would be a perfect summer PV! But still, nonetheless, the BLUE BIRD PV made me smile because I think what Ayu's trying to convey is to relax, have fun and enjoy this coming summer! It's kind of a wish for people living in the big cities (they pretty much have no proper beach to go to that's really pretty and with clear skies and blue waters) so I think she expressed it perfectly in this PV! It's really relaxing I think, it doesn't try too hard to show something like "C'mon, let's have fun for the summer" and it does it through very simple basic scenes like having fun with your friends and probably doing some stupid things like throwing people overboard. I thought it was a really enjoyable PV and very smoothing on the senses.
However (yes, there's always the "however"), as what people have said, the summer theme is WAY overused. Anymore Ayu doing things on the beach and that PV is officially considered thrashy. Ok, maybe not so if there was a portal and she got warpped into it or some other weird thing. But I'm quite tired of the beach already. Does summer always have to do with beaches and lots of fun? Probably for the city dweller. But it could always be getting herself involved in something like Thailand's Water Festival or even Spain's Tomato Festival. It could be just getting overseas and participating in something. I think that would come out to be a fantastic summer PV as opposed to more beach, more sand, more water and clear blue skies. No doubt, it expresses freedom, but I think it could really be conveyed in some other way. I don't really mind summer PVs not having that much thought to them but they must be logical and convey a definitive emotion across.
(And I was hoping to see a blue coloured bird somewhere in the PV but I thought it might have clashed with hitomi's GO MY WAY so it wasn't around)
Still, it's a very very relaxing PV. It has the most beautiful shot of Ayu in a PV I think, the part where she's on the boat and looking out to the horizon with the blue sky and sea in the background (Scenes that coincide with the last shot). That just looks amazing!
I like it too when she's by herself at the white sand platform in the ocean. It looks pretty and no distractions from her URGH dancers.
Regarding Ayu's dress on the hill, ok, it's quite weird, but I think it comes off fine. It's quite raw in the sense it's stitched together with multiple cloths and stuff but I think yup, it's fine. It's more of Ayu that's the problem. I don't like her hair.
Ayu's dancers appear TOO much in her PVs and I think we can already recognise them as celebrities in their own right. In this PV, I HATE it when they get very flamboyant and sometimes I think they're even vying for camera space with Ayu but when they're having fun with her, it's OK. They're really distracting though and I would appreciate a PV without them like alterna (Geez, that PV is one her recent BEST works ever!).
Now for my biggest problem ... EDITING! Did anyone notice this?
For live performances it's understandable but for PVs! I'm annoyed by the lack of meticulous editing there is in the PV. It's the only editing problem present though, fortunately. That's all I have to say for the PV.
Overall, 8.5/10! It's amazing colours takes you by breath with a very relaxing atmosphere and mood for the entire PV but the beach-themed idea has got to go.
