For instance I really think Endless sorrow has optmistic lyrics (how she talks about if they both join their strength they will make it, even though the song talks about everything being lost and having such a title. You can't tell there's false hope just by the lyrics of WHATEVER themselves, the arrangements of the song + the PV are the ones that makes you realize that. That's the reason why I consider the lyrics to be optmistic and the PV to be the opposite (and why I said I think the song -as a whole, the lyrics+ arrangements+PV- was created as an irony instead)...and also reason enough why WHATEVER has always been my most favorite ayu PV ever.  |
I got the false optimism just from the lyrics alone before I ever saw the PV.
: That's probabaly because I see the more pessimistic side of things first though.
Endless Sorrow on the other hand IS an optimistic song.
