Oh, I think it's her mother. Her mom just kept working through life and never showed much weakness regarding ayu's father leaving. Ayu probably worked during high school and became a singer in the hopes that she could be as strong as her mother seemed to be.
The other thought is that it could be Tomoya Nagase. In Free & Easy she sings about admiring him and qualities he has. This could be one of the things about him that she admires.
Or it could just be a friend that she particularly sees as being strong. Someone we don't even know. But I don't think she's singing to herself, cuz of the lyric "Someday I'll be who I want to be, though I'm far from that now". I think there's not alot that she admires about herself, past or present. (Though she really should, in my opinion. She's been through alot and she's managed to get so far in life.)
