The promo pictures for her recent works are ridiculous as well.

For me, I thought her first solo effort was a huge disappointment. Sure, it had some hot, albeit conventional and safe singles, but the rest of the album was just bland and forgettable. Also, I felt her vocals on Dangerously in Love were too restrained; Beyoncé is one artist who can wail without sounding forced or obnoxious. Thankfully, her vocals on B day are impeccable and she is really showing off her pipes without trying to be showy. Not only are the vocals fantastic, but every song sounds so fresh and has a killer arrangement. Admittedly, the album is an acquired taste. It's wickedly weird, but after a few listens it goes from bizarre to delightfully experimental and stylish.
