DAI stand for Dai Nagao the leader of the Do As Infinity group. As you can see they named the band after his initials. He used to appear together with Tomiko Van and Ryo in PVs and concerts but he decided to compose the songs not only for DAI but also for other artists/bands so he left the scene from Do As Infinity even though he's still active in composing songs. LOL my theory really seems to be working hehehe j/k Wonder if a Tsuki ni Shizumi ~episode II~ will be released
