The point of having an MP3 player is so the CD's you buy can be put on your computer and played with ease. Have you ever noticed if you've got a CD playing on youer puter and your doing alot of other things it kinda gets jammed or slows down?
Also..if you only have one CD-ROM player but want to listern to your music and your CD player is not in your room or close to your computer..you can A) Turn up the music very loudly or B) Rip it to mp3 format and play it from your computer.
Plus you'll free up the CD-ROM for if you want to use it.
Also..
Portable MP3 players have been made so the people who have paid all that money for a CD can format it to MP3 then place it on their Portable MP3 player. Not to have it shared on P2P programns like winMX or Kazaa Lite.
You have the right to copy all your music (because you own the ogginal one) if you own the CD your just not allowed to distrube the CD by selling it, lending it or giving it away. Your ment to use it for your own purpouses not help others.
