Considering the index page could be inaccessible (while subforums could be accessed without even opening the inaccessible index page), I think Forum Jump would be helpful. And all these times, I've been browsing subforums based on History. Just a suggestion though.
Anyway, I don't mind the layout. Hope you guys the best for the forum.
