A way to overcome some of the earliest Sony DRM's, back in 2002, was using a simple marker pen, and draw a line around the inner circle of the CD.
But it's an outdated method, and I never tried it myself so I can't confirm it personally. Not recommended if you're careful with your CDs, though

Another method, for a little later models, is to hold the Shift key while inserting the CD in your CD drive. Who knows, you might have some luck trying it out. Never tried this one either, as I didn't have troubles with them.
