I'm with Melrose, I like the english translation to match up with the japanese as much as possible, including what she sings at certain points.
Obviously it has to make sense in English too, and some things which don;t translate easily I'll fiddle with a bit, but key words and key ideas need to match with when they are sung in the song.
Here's my preferred translation, using masa's as a base, but fiddling and comparing with other translations, and doing certain bits my own way.
