Listening to this album reminded me how painful it is to listen to early Ayu. She has a pretty low voice but was clearly forced to sing in a very high key, which is way out of her comfort zone and range, so her vocals are often strained, scratchy and uncomfortable. The album sounds beautiful though, if I don't pay attention to the vocals.
