Kamenashi Kazuya lands first lead role in NHK drama

Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN) has landed the lead role in NHK's upcoming drama 'Seigi no Tenbin' to premiere on September 25. This will be his first time playing the lead role for a NHK drama.
'Seigi no Tenbin' is based on a novel of the same title written by Daimon Takeaki. Its story revolves around Takano Kazuya (Kamenashi), a former-surgeon-turned-lawyer who solves difficult cases with his intelligence and reasoning.
The founder of Shidanzaka Law Office suddenly passes away when the daughter of the late founder recruits Takano to help rebuild the law firm. He is assigned to work at the office's crime department with four other lawyers who each have peculiar personalities.
The daughter of the late founder who is a rookie lawyer, a lawyer and former NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) whose only merits are luck and his good points, a prideful lawyer who used to be a judge, and a compassionate lawyer who used to be a detective.
