That’s a good point. Maybe this speaks more to how Ayu pushes the arrangers into her vision for the song? Seems without being under the pressure and influence of the label and/or Ayu, this producer was able to do some of his better work. Or maybe it’s because the composition and vibe of this song is totally different than that “Sakura petal”-vibed shit she’s been leaning into extensively for her ballads.
