hmm, i can't say i think that's the reason why the cover is as plain and simple as maybe that ayu wanted it like that. it's probably because she thinks the song is so bare, or just that it's such a vulnerable song for her, just natural beauty i guess (as a song). she has so much input on her final product that i think the cover ended up exactly like she wanted.
with all the cross promotion ayu does, i don't think she would need to have a simple cover to get attention, if anything, the more vibrant colors attract audiences. i was also thinking, the single looks like it would be really cheap, like 700yen, for like a two track single, along the lines of hikki's 'dareka', or kumi's 'flower'.
