It's just because of different criteria. Spotify mostly decides what is a single and what is an album because of the number of tracks. Singles with dozens of remixes and instrumentals with more than eight tracks (I suppose, I didn't check the exact number) are listed as albums, while releases like TROUBLE, which was advertised as an album but with only 5 tracks, are listed as single or EP.
If we think about it, it's really weird a release with fourteen tracks like "A" being labeled as a single, even if it makes sense when we are only counting original tracks. It's just about conventions of the record industry.
