It’s because
3 “^” symbols literally surround the A. Look closely. One ^ on top, one on each side, forming a triangle. I appreciate they thought it through in such a way. If it were stylized as A3, you would lose that hidden imagery and nuance there. This is telling that they had a vision and a reason for picking “A^3” over A3.
