I might not be going to Japan anytime soon, but if I have a lot of bags to carry (and, I mean, two checked bags that airlines typically allow, plus a couple of carry-ons - PER PERSON), then what would be the best way to travel? The shinkansen is great to ride, but unlike the European high-speed trains the baggage storage is quite limited...
