The six-member group is managed by Monkey Funch and IS Entertainment and have been training with their producer MC Mong for more than five years now. The members include Inati, Dari, Jisu, DayDay, Drama, and YeongWon. The boys' management company explained that the group gets its name from a blend of the words "dalmatian" and "musician," because "Dalmatians are known to be loyal to their owners and very outgoing." The boys will be coming on stage with a "bad boy" type of theme. Dalmatian's management agency left the following message to the potential fans: "Dalmatians will create music with [its] own sense of character and individualism. [The members] will not betray those who love music and will stay loyal to them [like a dalmatian would do to its master.]"
