for A BALLADS... either 300K or 600K (I think it's 300K... it's quite a shock)
for Memorial address.. it should be around 520 - 530K...

why A BALLADS was a shock because RAINBOW's first week was over 1 million copies, and second week 300K at least (it beat KinKi Kid's new album on the second week..). 3 months later the sales dropped sharply somehow... I guess A BALLADS ain't that attractive (I didn't buy it cuz I have all the songs anywayz except RAINBOW and the cover song...)

I dunno about the first week sales of A BALLADS but it briefly surpassed 1 million copies recently. For Memorial Adress, it sold over 530k copies for the first week and surpassed 1 million mark in just two weeks. To date, the album sold 1.1 million, but some articles that i read{I forgot where I read those from} it sold nearly 1.3 million copies. Memorial Address also hold the record for the best-selling mini album by a solo female artist in Oricon history.

I don't know where you heard A BALLADS only sold 300k copies in its first week...

It sold 561,127 in its 1st week and had sold well over 900,000 by the time it left the charts.

Memorial address sold 524,028 its first week.
