When did Ayu become your favorite Artist?

I don't know if this already an existing thread, I apologise if it is. But nonetheless...

My question is there a certain song, performance, or something else that made Ayu your favorite Artist?

I discovered her about a year ago through a song in a fansub ("Catcher In The Light"). That had me buying two albums "My Story" & "(Miss)Understood which I listened sparingly. When I got the AT06 DVD that sealed the deal. Seeing her performing live really pulled me in and I knew at that point I'd be buying a lot more.

I have heard about her prior to discovering her music but I guess it became official when I 1st saw BLUE BIRD on the telly 2 years ago

When I saw the PV for JEWEL, she had me then and there. I had heard Dearest and evolution and loved them, but I never really looked her up. But after searching for something from Hikki and stumbling here, I saw JEWEL and said, "Hey, why not?"

Blown. Away.

Since then,

Hmmm~ well, I've been a casual listener of Ayu for quite a while ever since RAINBOW came out, but then it was just on and off.

And then around the time Secret came out in 2006, I started listening more to the old albums that I had of Ayu and slowly started listening to a larger variety of her songs.

But then I don't think it was until mid 2007 during my mock exams where I (totally overplayed) Trauma and Fly High, that it was -- how should I call it? -- my first experience of witnessing the power of Ayu's music unleashed. Her songs actually made me study. XDDDD

My process was really gradual. It wasn't like, BAM, I'm in love. I've always liked her, but I became a big fan over the summer of 2007 where I joined AHN. Forums really make you all the more in love with Ayu. XDD

This person (used to be my friend) was a hardcore Ayu fan back then in 2003 during the A BALLADS era, and somehow i started to listen to Ayu's music after hearing A Song For XX and M (and maybe evolution too!) though i've never really caught up on her music until i started reading news about her during the Secret era.

I was only 8 years old when i started listening to Ayu! My mother actually listened to Ayu too when i discovered she had A BEST hidden somewhere in the house, lol.

Around last year. But I was just a casual listener of many Jpop artists, so I didn't really have a favourite. But I just somewhat concentrated more on Ayu at that time, and wanted to know more about her. Then, I found AHS, and knew her more, and here I am! XD

I first discovered Ayu in early 2003 when I randomly downloaded M off an anime music site I liked. I instantly loved the song and went around looking for other songs by this artist. I got into her around A BALLADS and & was the first release I experienced as it was coming out. Between those times I realized how amazing she was as I dled more of her music enthusiastically. I'm still as much in love with her now as I was then! <3

The first time were I listened and discover Ayu's genuine music was way back from CAROLS single release to MY STORY album release(About late September or early October of 2004).

So far, she is now my all time favorite artist.
