You guys are reading WAY TOO MUCH into that particular line. If you're used to reading her blog, you would understand that she's not the kind of person to brag about her work in that way.
I don't really know anything about Miliyah as a person, which is why I was wondering about that comment. I guess this really shouldn't be discussed anymore anyway, I know I'm looking into it too much and giving it much more attention than I should. So it's all good.

On another subject; I really like The One. I used to not be moved by the chorus but really liked the verses and the lyrics. Now it's all just too great. What does everyone think of RUN FREE? I can't stop listening to it.

RUN FREE feels kinda out of place to be honest, I would have been fine without it. I did like it as a digital single though, I just don't like it within all the album songs, it's a bit too messy for me.

Omgosh ~cakegate 2014~

I really enjoy RUN FREE. I love the way AI sings on it. I'm glad she put it on the album.

I wonder if she will release another album before releasing a best album. Considering that there were only two albums between Best Destiny and M Best. I just wonder.

What is with Japanese artists needing to use the word 'best' in best of albums?

LOVELAND is my first Miliyah album, and I'm really enjoying it. I've always ignored her in the past because I'm not at all a fan of jr&b (or r&b in general). I do agree that there aren't really any standout tracks, but that's one of its strengths to me. I love how smooth and cohesive it is; it really feels like an album, which is saying something considering it's jpop and all the singles came out long before the album was being conceptualized I'm guessing lol. My faves are Lonely Hearts, Shape of Love, Love/Affection, kamisama, and One Night Only

I did try TRUE LOVERS since it was also recent but after three songs I shut it off 'cause they were all waaay too long for my taste. :\

^ You could try HEAVEN (album). WHY, Sora, Free, Destiny, BFF and ByeBye are amazing songs (in my opinion of course).

I don't care for RUN FREE either. I kicked it off my iTunes Kamisama is still my favorite

I love her new album. So good. I need to revisit her discography...Miliyah somehow dropped out of my life and I'm not sure why!

Great first post, thanks Utena.

After a few (alot) of listens to the album I can say that I really love all songs except for PRIDE and One Night Only.

You're Beautiful has grown on me alot and it's one of my favorites now
RUN FREE does feel out of place but it's a good and fun song so I don't really mind.

This album is on par with Heaven and TRUE LOVERS for me.

I adored Heaven, I remember running to Tower Records and picking it up a couple days before I moved back to the States, and it's been one of my favorite albums ever since. But yeah, for some reason Miliyah just kind of dropped off the map for me ever since then...maybe I was so obsessed with Heaven, I just didn't pay attention to what she came out with afterwards? (LOVERS pt. II w/ Wakadanna excepted...I've had that song stuck in my head for almost a year)

Anyway, my point is, I really liked Lonely Hearts and thought Love/Affection cw Kamisama was great, and I'm really enjoying Loveland! So much so that I'm working my way backward through her entire discography now. Up next...TRUE LOVERS.

Another newcomer impressed by LOVELAND here! It really is such a cohesive album, a pleasure to listen to. I disagree about the album lacking standout tracks, many songs jumped out at me right away! My favorites are Love/Affection, UNIQUE, Kamisama and Jounetsu to Reisei no Aida. One Night Only and Loveland are kind of meh for me, but all the other songs are on a scale from "This is really good!" to "I LOVE THIS". If Miliyah's other albums are this good, they need to get into my ears yesterday.

Run, don't walk, to your nearest download source and find Heaven!!! It's a really cohesive, solid j-pop album. Miliyah seriously delivered with that one.

All her albums are great in their own ways, so you should probably listen to them all eventually.

For tenshi no hane, I feel bad about asking, but could you (if you see this) please translate LOVER -Epidode II-? If you have time and will, any other translations of other album songs that didn't get one would be welcome, too. Reading your translations makes it easier for me to get to like them more. No wonder I already love all the songs you translated.

Sure thing~ I like translating Miliyah's lyrics

LOVER –Episode II–
Spoiler:
Love story. When I was with you
I was happy but now
Just thinking about you makes me so lonely
My heart is hot like fire
Memory has gone
I need to be right here
Every single memory is dear to me
Wishing you were mine, out of my control
Be mine, be mine, be mine, baby

*Missing you, I'm missing you tonight
I want you so bad I want to cry
I wanna be your lover
I wanna be your lover
I just want to see you tonight
Before I knew it, I was fallin' fallin' in love
Tonight I want to tell you how I feel
I wanna be your lover
I wanna be your lover
I want to see you tonight

I need you
You have your own special world
And I know you have no place for me there
I know what you want, what you need
What if I hadn't hesitated back then?
What if I had jumped into your arms?
Would we have become one?
But I just stood there. I lose it

Destiny. I was floating on air whenever we met
I believed we were destined to be
I remember like yesterday the very day I met you
I want you, I love you
Unable to say what I should have
Please, my feelings… try
This love made my heart flutter one time

Once again (yeah) and again (yeah)
Reached out again and again but you said…
Be mine (And you said)
Be mine (But you said)
Be mine (Can I..? How can I..?)
Tell me, how can I turn back the clock?
Where did things go bad?
Did I do something wrong?
(Is it too late? Baby, back in the day)
I've never regretted anything this badly. I want a second chance
But you're not here
We exchanged "good night" for the last time
I want to hear it one more time, your "good night"

I want to tell you one thing before tonight ends
I want you to hold me tightly after midnight
I wanna be with you
I wanna be with you
Wishing you were here baby
I wanna be with you
I wanna be with you
Yeah, I wanna be your lover

* repeat

I love the way she sings the 5th stanza
