Where does Ayu take you?

I always thought if a singer was a really good at expressing their lyrics, then they could take you places when you listen to their songs. Basically visualizing certain scenarios. Since I haven't seen a recent thread about this so I just wanted to tell mine!

Songs:

End of the World: Every time I hear this song, I see a person that's been beat up (both physically and emotionally) covered in blood, dirt, and chained around the wrists/ankles. This person is in a desert like place when the wind is rippling the sand like waves and the person is singing the song in agony. Then at the end, the person looks at me then walks away shaking their head.

no more words: During the intro,I'm automatically in an ruined temple covered in vegetation and then Ayu shows up in her I am... vine outfit and is walking up flights of stairs. When she reaches the top, a bright light comes out of her chest and the temple becomes anew with tropical birds and all the pretty Amazon life.

POWDER SNOW: Now this song takes me to that sad place I know everybody has. You know it's kinda like in the PV, a white room but with a mirror. It's kinda hard to put into words at the moment.

Moments: Moments always takes me to a quiet town. Where it's mostly old couples and has a single church with a large bell. A very relaxing place to be...

the NEXT love: Long story, short...a musical with sexy long legs and one of those 1920's cigarette sticks.

still alone: It never fails, every time I hear this song the scenario of the Garden of Eden pops up. As soon as the chorus hits, it becomes the Fallen Garden and a specific image of a crystal clear river becoming bloody .

BRILLANTE: Like the PV, I see an Egyptian woman but she's a real figure like Hatsheput and she's coming up with a plot to kill someone important and at the end she's at the funeral of the man she killed then she smiles like the Omen kid.

Every time I listen to HANABI, I just imagine Ayu in that short CM she was in. The entire song through, I see her just singing this to her lonesome self while the rain pours on her. Sad, really.

vogue and Heartplace gives me some hippie-experience. I don't know. Like I am dancing without any clothes, trying to be one with the nature, shizzle.

as for Duty, BRILLANTE and do it again (the countdown version) I find myself in some kind of monastery or something. No it's actually worse. A sacrifice ritual.

No way to say takes me underwater... somehow. It has some drowing effect or something. Haha, I know, it makes not much sense lol.

POWDER SNOW, Days, Dearest, Over, Close to You and Missing are all very wintery to me.

Sweet Scar is hypnotizing. It feels like I am in therapy or something

oh goshhhh. i have scenarios for sooooo many songs. i actually make up my own music videos in my head. even for some that already have them, i always think, "i would have done this..." anyway, the ones that stick out to me:

GUILTY - i always imagine some medieval time period and ayu is going from jail to be hanged. i know it's a similar plot to Free & Easy (imo, the video didn't fit the song, but that's another discussion) but this one i have in my head is grittier, darker and actually takes place in the time period.

all the taskin- interludes (minus taskinbab) - these would work great for car commercials.

Don't look back - i imagine some middle eastern dinner party from biblical times or something. actually it reminds me of that bible story about lot and his family running away from sodom and gomorrah, but his wife looks back and turns into a pillar of salt. very fitting for the title if you ask me

Dolls - i feel like i'm in some ethereal forest and am going to run into some elves...

Connected - i'm in space getting chased!

^ Oh gawsh yes! I get the same feeling with GUILTY! It's like you can see her in ragged clothes and dirty like she's about to be hanged or some kind of public punishment...

Heartplace - it always bring me to the top of clifs where you can see the vast ocean and waves hitting the sides as you feel the breaze rushing through your hair, careasing your skin.
I actually very often imagine just orchestra and the band playing along with Ayu singing in front as the wind plays in her dress and hair.
But it is a very fresh and powerful song.

Melody - i pretty much portrayed the view i always see in the cover i did. Just sunseting view of grass fields, with crystal clear sky, filled with summery fresh air and birds preparing for night. And then you just lay down on the grass and lay there for a while listening to the sounds of the dawn.

Daybreak - well it is what it is a daybreak, at the city when it's still one eye asleep but you little by mittle start noticing a person or other comming out of the corners.
Ayu is walking towards the sun when slowly the path under her feet turns into a streak of grass leading to the nature, and people are one by one joining her untill they reach a hill when the sun finallly colors the city in all it's beauty.

Rainbow - makes me think of water, lots of it, the dephts of ocean and mermaids and something surreal and imagination based.

Sweet scar - makes me think of ice, snow and white white forests, a wonderland of winter, ice palace with drops frozen is space and animals, insects, birds...as soon as your warmth touches them. they come alive.... little by little the frozen pallace turns into a magical place embraced by bindweed and little springs running around breaking into waterfalls. Eventualy you end up sitting in a gorgeous nature oasis.

evolution - Ayu calmly sitting inside of some sort of place facing the sunrise, as soon as the music goes faster it zooms out and takes on a view of futuristic city waking up, and with the guitars Ayu takes off in a speedy car through the city of the future. when she passes by somethign interesting (places, roads people's stories) it starts changind and showing it's past form and lives. Too bad Ayu's now got a couple of cop cars chasing after her for speeding way too much, but she just takes off a wall of some building up it, which keeps changing from what it was ages ago to what it is now showing the lives of those who lived and lives there, still with the cars chasing her up.. Her car ends up flying over the buildings roof spreading steel wings and flying into the sky and takes off to the distance to the almost facing the city, sun, while the cops stop in space and just stare at the missed target fading to the glow of the sun.

If they ever take me anywhere, ayu's songs bring me to the past (ie nostalgia)
That's pretty much it.
Just brings back memories of whatever happened years ago.

(miss)understood - I imagine a scene ayu dressed in the dress she wore in a Memorial address live in music station and singing on the street.

Naturally - I imagine ayu sings the song between the strong breeze.

everywhere nowhere - I imagine ayu doing para para dance hahaha

Duty - I see Ayu, starting at a stage and wondering if she'll fall down from it or not

vogue - Far away - SEASONS
In vogue, I see a girl running down a hill, in vogue she knows she can fall or trip and probably will, just like everyone else, but she's happy despite of that.
In Far away it gets darker, her clothes are worn and she has dirt on her face and twiggs stuck on her sneaker because of a guy she started of with as casual yet she ended up having feelings for him though he threw her away. She has started to fall because the speed is too much for her and she knows that in a few mote hick-ups, she will fall.
In SEASONS, it's the aftermath of the fall and she sees everything ruined nonetheless she stands up and smiles in a bittersweet way.

BRILLANTE - I see Cleopatra, like many others. She, Cleopatra, knows she's a real person but no one sees her like that, the see her as a fictional icon. She feels as if no one knows the real her and even she has lost the line between real and fantasy. In the end, she takes a snake and forces it to bite her neck and she dies at the feet of everyone who was supposed to protect her.

Free & Easy - I always see the STADIUM TOUR 2002 performance, not the AT2002/CDL06-07 performance

walking proud, part of Me, Curtain call, Virgin Road - I see a woman who whishes she could be in another universe with the man she's longing for.

End roll - I see a woman who stares at a house where her last love used to live in. She just stands in front of it, smokes a cigarette and then leaves.
