 NIGHTMARE is a visual-kei rock band that debuted January 1st, 2000. They are most well known for their contribution to anime, including the songs "the WORLD" and "Anima". Yesterday the band announced a live for their 20th anniversary will be taking place!
NIGHTMARE 20th Anniversary SPECIAL LIVE GIANIZM ~Saiaku~ February 11th, 2020 Yokohama Arena It doesn't specify if the band will resume activities after this live, but they are at least going to be celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Awww that's lovely! I wish I could go!
It's good to hear that they are doing it. I wish they would resume activities as well but I don't really mind if not. Glad they're doing the anniversary live though. Thanks for the news by the way

Glad there's at least one more NIGHTMARE fan on this forum!

Yay for more NIGHTMARE fans!
Seems they are going to be reforming for good! They've also announced birthday lives to be held on each of the members' birthdays! I hope we get an announcement for a new song soon! It's been four years since "Awakening." was released!

In addition to their birthday lives, they've announced their tour for 2020. It's tentatively titled NIGHTMARE TOUR 2020.
And! They've announced they will be releasing a 20th anniversary single sometime this year! So they are officially back!

"ink" 2020.10.17 Type A (CD+DVD) [CD] 01. ink 02. Untitled [DVD] 01. ink Music Video Type B (CD Only) [CD] 01. ink 02. Untitled 03. Untitled Also they just released their DVD "NIGHTMARE 20th Anniversary SPECIAL LIVE GIANIZM 〜 再悪 〜 2020.2.11@YOKOHAMA ARENA". The platinum edition (12,000 yen and limited to fanclub members) came with a download card for their new song "GIANIZM:RE惡T" (GIANIZM:REACT).

I am so bad at keeping this thread updated. lol
Anyway, their first single since their hiatus, "ink": And their first single of 2021, "cry for the moon": Personally, I prefer "cry for the moon", but "ink" isn't bad either. YOMI's vocals are...definitely not as good as they used to be, but he seems to have found a middle ground. At least he's not over-relying on his vibrato like he used to.
