Anyone into "The Darkness"

I've only heard the song "I believe in a thing called Love" but I think they're so rad! (Yes, I did say "rad" *Bringing back the 80's single-handedly!*)
I was thinking of getting their album "Permission to Land"
Has anyone else heard of them?

i hated them when they first came out because i really dont like that type of music and was scared it was going to come back. but then i realized it was just fun and started liking a couple of songs. now i like them but dont want there to be bands that imitate them... one is enough.

I like the Darkness! Their CD is pretty good, I keep it in my car. Download How Dare You Call This Love and Get Your Hands Off of my Woman to get a better idea of waht the CD is like. The songs can be pretty funny... How dare you call thi love is about a relationship with an underaged girl... and some songs ar epretty graphic lol. Good stuff though. And the guy's voice goes so high, so it's funny when my guy friends sing to it.

Dear God no..

I cannot stand them. The singer's voice is just.. ugh.. and they're really weird, even for my standards. ><

I don't see how people think they're so awesome.. they're just.. Not horrible but not brilliant or great. More of the "I turn it right off when I hear it" kind of music.

I was up at 2am watching MTV and all of the sudden this skinny little man with big metal band hair entered my blurring vision. I thought I was tripping out or something =X. I'm not into the song, it's really scary sounding. Same with the video. but more power to them!

I absolutely love The Darkness. I bought 'Premission to Land' the other day and haven't taken it out of my CD player yet. Bands like these guys need to come back. It recalls the good ol' days when rock was fun. Me personally, I'm tired of these whiny complaint rock bands like Staind, Linkin Park, and their ilk. Band like The Darkness are what rock n roll is all about. I would love to see them tour with Kiss this summer. That would be so awesome. I just hope they aren't a fluke and fun rock music takes over again.

I think bands like Staind and Linkin Park asre cool! The Darkness just brings shines a new light on to rock music so they are ok in my book.

They would be okay but they are just too whiny. They are making millions of dollars playing music, what exactly do they have to whine and complain about. I'm not saying anything against their capabilities as musicians, but I just get tired of hearing rich people whine about how bad life is. For me the idea of music is an escape from everyday problems, not to be reminded of it.

I agree about the whine, and that it's irritating to listen to , but I can see with being rich also comes problems of stress and businness and everything that goes along with it. I'm sure rich people have just as much problems as us poor-ys, just different ones.

i think they're awsome, haha, cause they remind me of 80's metal. i grew up listening to 80's music from rock to old school rap.
