I saw Kelly Chen's concert over the weekend!

I saw Kelly in concert over the weekend! Had so much fun, especially in the big rave medley towards the end where loads of people got out of their seats and rushed up to the front of the stage, and she was really funny and cracked alot of jokes. They were throwing out Kelly fans and towels as gifts and my cousin managed to get one of each. Although the Dynacarnival 02 one was better.

She sang a classic song each from Anita, Leslie and Anthony Wong (which were really good), then in the end mixed more classics into the rave medley during encore. Her singing was great throughout and she tapped danced too.

Here's some crappy photos (Cousin had really good photos as they sat alot closer) I brought a poster though.

PosterI brought at the concert

Kelly: Everyone on stage portrays a fairy tale character, which one do you think I'm playing as?
Audience: Beggar?
Kelly: WHHAATT?? Beggar!? Beggar's in Melbourne are this colourful and shiny?? Guess again.
Audience: A beautiful beggar!
Kelly: A beautiful beggar!? Actually I'm a street boy, a carefree street boy. Oh wait...that's pretty much like a beggar isn't it?

Dress made of paper.

Flower dress containing several thousand flowers, apparently it's 57 kg o_O

Encore

And billboard ad for the concert in the City. (Couldn't resist taking a photo, they only started to have these big ads for the concerts recently)

No...

She only held an autograph session in Sydney and not in Melbourne. >_< They showed it in the Chinese news and it looked pretty big too, with journalists and a huge poster board set up and everything.

nmskalmn-> Yep, as long they aren't professional shots, people keep rushing to the front every now and then and the guards have to try and push us back. They let us be during the rave medley in the end though.

Oh they definately will, the tour was just held in Hong Kong during late December, so you can probably expect it to be released around mid-year.

I went to the Joey concert last year in Melbourne and those guards ruin it by telling everyone to get back to their seats. ALso the crown palladium sucks in seating arrangement, only good view is from first row.

I didnt realise her costumes were so bright and big!

I translated it, the conversation was originally in Cantonese.

Several years back used to have one elevated level in the seating arrangments, but they don't anymore. But still, it isn't that bad, I guess I'm just used to it.

Joey walked past us but I didn't realise it until she was almost back on the stage...(She came out at the back)

She only sang 2 from 'Grace & Charm' unfortunately, well, 3 including the 大長今 theme "希望" from the Korean drama included in the 2nd version. The other two she sang from the album were 紙醉金迷 and 完美關係. I would've loved to hear 情人戰 and 紅絲帶 as well, but she didn't sing them.

Wow, so cool! Sounds fun. I like her fancy outfits, but some are a little bit to over the top. I like the poster, that outfit is really creative! I'm not a fan of hers (i don't like her voice =T), but i know this artist for a while now since i'm chinese lol. My sister's a fan though!

Yeah, it was in Melbourne. There's a fair amount of Chinese people here, though I swear I see a few caucasians in the concerts sometimes o_o Probably gone with some Chinese friends.
