Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B.

Anyone listen(ed) to it? It's okay-ish, but some of the songs are good. What's with those Japanese girls? And does anyone know what "Harajuku" is?

Harajuku is a district in Tokyo and is a famous place to go shopping.. it's pretty hip with teenagers and stuff.. hehehe Gwen was inspired by Japanese fashion (She says her boyfriend bought her a hysteric glamour shirt..) .. so therefore, you hear her masterpiece song about them I think it's awesome Also, in the first song, you can hear Japanese blended into the background music. Dammit, I just listen too much

Anyways, it's a great song. She did a good job reviving the 80's in "Bubble Pop Electric." The most personal song to me is "The Real Thing." Wow.. I just can't stop listening to that song

I LOVE this CD. All the songs on it are great! It is highly recommended.
I was in love when I heard Harajuku Girls. It was so perfect. Especially when I got to impress people by telling them what is being said in the background

I think Harajuku Girls has really bad lyrics ><; A lot of the songs are really catchy, but my favourite's What Are You Waiting For?

Hollaback girl is a good song, one of my favorites.

What is being said in Japanese in "Harajuku?" But I must agree with Gwen about Japan's really great fashion.

Ah. Rich Girl annoys the hell out of me. I like all the other songs, but that one just annoys me (it doesn't help that I hate Eve). I love What You Waiting For and Hollaback Girl, but Rich Girl. Just ugh. I'd still give the album an 8/10.

Hey maybe you guys can give me your opinion on this. I thought the lyrics in What are You Waiting For? were directed towards herself, but my boyfriend though she was singing about other singers not taking risks with their music... what do you guys think? I totally think she was singing into her mirror telling herself to get off her butt, beating herself up a little bit, feeling a little pressured.

I liked it overall, not bad at all. However, none of the songs seem to stand out. No classics on it, no staying power. So, average.

I totally LOVED the album! I especially love RICH GIRLS and WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? All the songs are very catchy. The other night, i listened to the WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? track continuously for 5 hours. I was like addicted to the song and couldn't stop it.

I'm thinking that she's talking about herself.

Everybody i have talked to thought she was singing about someone else. To me, i think it's about her when she wasn't famous back then. And i mean before the NO DOUBT.

I remember watching the making-of "What You Waiting For?" and I think she said that the lyrics were directed towards herself.
