What if Memorial Address and MY STORY were combined?

Look, I like them seperate and everything but what if Ayumi had written a full length album at the time of Memorial Address, and a few MY STORY tracks were put on? Do you think it would have been better than I am...? If so, what would your track list be?

I think most of the songs on My Story would've dragged down Memorial Address, because it's a far superior (mini) album. I'm glad it's how it is. She's never going to release anything better than I Am..., at least not to me...that's not where she is musically anymore in terms of style or vocal ability.

^ sadly that's true... I Am... is her best smash hit album..the prime of career..I don't think she'll reach anything like that again

MY STORY sucks as an album. Memorial address, though short, is a very good album, considering all of those tracks are likable.
Duty is the best album of all, much better than I am... Hell, even LOVEppears is better than I am... (not by a lot, though).

I love MY STORY, but Memorial address I lil bit better... I love ALL the songs and each song is different. I think I am... I better cuz If you have a poll from anyewhere, most of the people will vote for I am...

I think Duty is ok cuz I think thats when her music started to change for the better.

That doesn't make it better. Duty sold nearly 700,000 more copies than I am... So, if you're going by that, Duty is better.

'Duty' was the prime of her career, not 'I am...' like so many people think. Although M and evolution were 1M selling singles, her decline started soon after, if you go by album sales.

Anyways, I think Memorial Address is it's own album, if any MY STORY song was on it it'd be weird.

I don't think that any of her previous albums are her prime! i believe that she is going through a phase of changes and I actually liked "My Story" if you listen really carefully there are acutally a lot of good songs in it! especially the lyric she put a lot of effort into them to express herself as who she is now

Personally i think My Story is an excellent album now that i've heard it through quite a few times. Memorial Address is also a great album but it contains 2 of my least favourite songs - Greatful Days and Forgiveness.

However, I believe that Duty is by far her best album, as i can say i LOVE every track on there. I Am... is a more accomplished album though, technically superior to it's predecessors and containing some of Ayu's most recognisable hits such as Evolution, M, Endless Sorrow etc...

I think it would ruin it, Memorial Address is just so perfect.

My story has WAY to many interludes and everything on it sounds like some kind of pop punk, even though it has several outshining songs. It's just a totally diffrent style

I like both albums a lot, the only thing I wouldn't mind happen was if 'Moments' was on 'Memorial address'.

I think 'MY STORY' is one of her best and definitely most solid albums to date. I am... is really good but BEYOND overrated. I have no idea why everyone bags on 'MY STORY' but it is one seriously amazing set of songs. All of Ayu albums I believe are strong in their own points and have times when they shine and don't shine. I really truly love all her albums, and 'Memorial address' is fine the way it is. It's a perfect set of music which I don't think could have been done better.

I don't think that Ayumi would've wanted to put the songs from MY STORY and Memorial Address together anyways. I will agree that the mini-album is better than the full album, though. That's not to say that I don't enjoy MY STORY because I do very much.

As for Duty, though it sold more than I am..., the year that I am... was released (2001) was definitely Ayumi's peak in terms of the massive promotions that she was doing at the time. Her face was much more ubiquitous then than it is now or before 2001.

I agree that Memorial Address and MY STORY should remain seperate, but I am sick of constantly changing CDs in my CD player to hear different songs. XDD

I'm not saying I don't like MY STORY or anything, but I was wondering how would it be different if she had a full album instead of a mini album. But I am still happy the way they are. xD
