Help Me Expand My J-Rock :p

I love rock, and Ayu's rock-like songs I really love too. Unfortunately, that's all I know in the j-rock world... so I'm asking here if anyone knows any other songs, artists, bands in japan that are rock based with songs similar to Ayu's...

About You
Alterna
Because of You
Game

... well now that I think about it, it's not VERY rock based, but has a hint of it which I want to hear a lot of... One song recently has caught my attention, and loving it to bits. High and Might Color, Ichirin no Hana... amazing, the vocals are perfect and the co-op of girl sing/guy sing/guy screaming (not really fond of guy screaming but eh) sound really good.

If anyone can point me out to some songs, some artists, some bands that have music similar to Ichirin no Hana or some of the Ayu rocks, I'd be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try some older Shiina Ringo for actual female J-rock (her later is stuff is even less conventional). Otherwise, for more pop/rock crossovers try (lower case) hitomi, Hitomi Yaida or Aikawa Nanase.

Hmm... similar to Ayu's stuff? I'd try Shiina Ringo or Nanase Aikawa (they sound completely different from each other- but both are really good).

I'd check out the bands ~ayu-cake~ listed aswell ^^

Thanks so much for the replies everyone <3!

Well... after searching for most of the artists mentioned, I only found one song I liked... Miyavi - Hime... love it! I didn't really like a lot of them... I'm not even sure if it's called "rock" x_X...

Then again, I got most of em off bearshare so we all know how horrible it is and not the best... but... any specific SONGS you guys can reccommend from whatever artist? From there I can expand and listen to the other works

Thanks again =D

You might want to try some songs of Gackt. His songs are not really similair to Ayumi's rock songs, but I think you might enjoy them as well. Most people seem to prefer his old albums, but I liked his more recent album "Crescent" a lot. Try "birdcage" from the album, I loved that track. ^_^
