Unfortunately they don't sell english subbed movies (why would they?) so you'll have to download it off the internet with fansubs if you want to understand it. And finding it at all is rare, let alone with subs.

English is a school subject in japan, and english subtitles might help with their reading and comprehension. That's how I learned A LOT of my kanji before Japanese class. It also helps me memorize katakana.

That's so funny that this is a new post, I just saw this DVD for sale at Book-Off for $20. It's a displayed product and the tag said, "Yes, it's that Hamasaki Ayumi!" (in Japanese)

lol, that's where i buy my albums, and i found appears! it's the honolulu one. I'd buy it, considering not many people would really have it. I got 'tsuki ni shizumu' for 11 bucks at book-off. their prices are pretty good considering the artists are still popular. A Song for XX and LOVEppears is 14.99, but at this other store, it's still 40 dollars.

But the majority of the population is Japanese (thus knowing how to speak Japanese) and their movies wouldn't be targetted towards people who could only speak English (IE: people in only-English speaking countries like USA). It would be a waste of the producer's money to hire someone to sub it in a foreign language, although a lot of movies do have subtitles in different languages you have to remember this movie was very low budget obviously.

That's because it's the Overseas versions. Sometime's they're used too but they don't tell you. Hakubundo it's more expensive because they important it direct from Japan and usually have the first press and everything's unused and in high quality. I prefer Hakubundo actually. The prices aren't a bother to me since if it's something I want I'll pay for it.
