-still the best selling original album. (2nd place is ai's "LOVE COOK" with 787,473 or 71,460 behind (m)u )

It's really good since it's been 3 months and all that's topped the charts really are Best albums :\ Most likely some boybands / solo males will get on top of Ayu..

But another thing though.. Will Hikki's album sell more than Ayu's? We were stunned by the sales of Passion when it first came out.. how will ULTRA BLUE fare? :x

If single sales reflect the album sales, we dunno how good Ultra Blue's sales can go... But assuming that single sales doesn't reflect album sales these days, Hikki's album can be the best selling original album of this year... I'm a hikki fan so I hope she sells a lot... not like dropping from 2.5 million sales to like 500K sales all of the sudden...

back to the topic... (m)u shall be 860K next week... probly 4 more months it will break 900K...

hm... does it take very long for an album to sell 1 million copies? if the sales continue to drop, i dont think it will hit a million..

Why not? Ayu's BEST album sold 4.5 mil and I am... after it sold 2.6 mil, and she's considered to be very lucky still selling after a BEST album. BoA went from a million to 300k... Plus, Hikki also released Exodus after the single collections. Of course, I don't think her sales will be terrible - she still has heaps of fans, it's just that they like buying the iTunes version for the singles.

I get what you mean. It seems like most artists' cds are sold poorly after they have released BEST albums. But the thing is that all hikki's original albums are way better than her best.. So that's why I kinda have faith on her new album. On a positive note.. people may buy the album at cd stores than buy the mp3s at iTunes. It's not worthy to buy single these days, but album still has its value at this moment..

I'm not sure this will be the best-selling original album at the end of the year, but these numbers are satisfying enough IMO.
