MTV Japan is seperate from MTV Asia. They just do their own thing.

MTV Japan has it's own awards, so that means MTV Asia can focus on the rest of the continent.

Well, Japan has VMAJ... that's how independent Japan is... and also that's why I'm also upset with MAA not including Japan on the awards show.. they'll just have to add one more category "Favorite Artist Japan"....

True enough Japan has its own VMAJ, but then they have awards like best buzz asia from taiwan, korea... Why MAA doesnt have one for Japan?

Doesn't matter really, if the awards are flooded with American/Western entries every year. Even though these are supposed to be ASIAN awards.

i believe they have pride in their music... coz even here in the PH we have our own MTV awards... but i think it was only for a year, not quite sure (im not into MTV anymore).. but we are still included in the MAA, coz i think the PH still has to prove that we have a great/good music industry... but yeah, this wont happen anytime soon... PH songs are either Covers from the US or just plain crappy. wehehehe.

Japan's Music Industry is really ALIVE and yeah i agree with tinyppl that japan takes good care of their music industry.
