Ayase Haruka is probably best known for being an actress, but she also, like probably every second japanese actress has a singing career. Her last single Marguerite was released in August and got her number 13 on the Oricon Charts.

In 1999, she successfully passed a Horipro audition. She first achieved widespread recognition for her starring roles in the short film Justice; in 2004 she rose to stardom as Aki in the TV series Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World.

On March 24, 2006 she released her first single, titled "Period" (ピリオド, Periodo?), the lyrics of which were written by Kaori Mochida from Every Little Thing and Takeshi Kobayashi. Kobayashi also composed and arranged the music, as well as producing the single.

She has also released two photo books: Birth in 2001 and Heroine in 2004.

Probably not the best singer around but not the worst either. I think her music is cute and listenable. She probably is the one who snatched the Panasonic Contract from Ayu, but don't hate her too much . I also read somewhere that she isn't the brightest kid around but I would assume that's just jealousy of her beauty and she is one of the better actresses around!

I also prefer her acting over her singing career. I think she has a nice voice when she talks, but that doesn't work that well when she's singing.
