Any Ken Hirai fans?

There must be some Ken Hirai fans around here! I have been listening to his SENTIMENTAL LOVER for a few months and it is a beautiful album. I especially like "HITOMI WO TOJITE". I heard the lyrics were very sad. I watched music video the other day and thought it was okay.

So, any news of his upcoming singles or album?
Oh and i heard that he came out in Japan recently as a homosexual? Anybody know about this?

I think he's doing a tour right now (http://hirai.yahoo.co.jp/) so he's probably not gonna be releasing any singles any time soon...

Dunno if he personally mentioned if he's homosexual or not, but I heard he never had a girlfriend throughout his career so...*shrug*

I love his Sentimentalovers album. It's quite soothing. Hitomi wo tojite made me cry I wonder where he finds his inspirations for his songs if he's never had a girlfriend.

i'm one of his fans since gaining trough losing..but i think my story is better than sentimental lovers
i just used to hear "hitomi wo tojite" the rest are boring song.. (sorry..its just my opinion)
hitomi wo tojite is the best male ballad that i ever heard..its just so wonderful and touching..first time i heard it, its has a same feeling when i first time hear walking proud..REALLY GREAT BALLADS

I think he sings too high for his voice, so I never really got into any of his songs. I know lots of people who like him because he's so attractive, though. He has so many caucasian features, I couldn't believe he was Japanese!

Oh if you really want to know whether he is gay or not. Go to Yahoo Japan and type in the keywords "平井堅ホモ" ( which means Ken Hirai gay") ANd you will find a lot of forums/news/ etc about Ken Hirai living with his boyfriend who currently resides in New York. This news was very big in Japan last December. The girls were crazy about him! Also, i think an article in japanese mentioned that there was this picture of him hugging another man and being intimate with him.

But who cares if he's really gay. I mean, we shouldn't judge someone by his sexuality. After all, he's attractive and makes very good music. I'm going to keep supporting him even though i don't think i'll ever meet him.

I dunno, I think guys from Osaka have somewhat American features Hyde from L'Arc~en~Ciel doesn't look very Japanese, and Ken Hirai is also from Osaka. Hmm. Yes, I agree, Japanese guys that are tall, have a lil facial hair and look American are sexy

According to his official website, the tours end on 7/17. But that doesn't mean that he will start immediately for his next single since he is one of those singers who release an album in a yearly gap or two.
