A Song for XX

A Song for XX is pronounced as "A Song for". so is there any significant meaning for the XX? ayu put it there for any purpose?? so curious!! is it a person?

Yes, the title is pronounced as "A[ey] Song for". The "XX" in the title stands for her mother. And "A" is ayu, of course.
ayu said in an interview that she wants the listeners to put in what they wish for the "XX" (I think it was the first "All Night Nippon").

"A Song for a female", since XX is what chromosomes make a female. It's probably her mother, although I never read anything about it before.

I thought XX was supposed to stand for anonymaty. Like how she never said specifically who the song was for. just used "you" in it or whatever. that's what I got.

The first time I saw it I interpreted it as a female, since anonymity is more often symbolized by a single X. But that is also a possibility.

well, the lyrics suggest that it was towards her mother. also, in the a ballads version, she changes the lyrics so that instead of they, it's you. you can read masa's note on that in the lyrics forum

i read the lyrics. could the XX be the "you" mentioned in the lyrics. and the "you" seem to be ayu herself.

This point has been added to the FAAQ and the info was from Masa's translation site (see links below the AHS header).
For Ayumi, the "XX" is indeed her mother.
However, she wants the "XX" to stand for whoever or whatever the listeners would like it to be.

I think the "XX" standing for whatever you wnat is right cause ther is a german artist called "Xavier Naidoo" and he has an album called "Telegram für XX"....but the XX is never spelled in CMs^^
