she's actually chinese, scouted by Avex China. but she's releasing her debut single in japanese later this autumn. I really like her sound, she has a very traditional chinese way of using her voice

there are samples off the upcoming single & streamable PV on her site.

but anywho....i like the sound of the preview on the site. she really does have a very 'chinese sound' to her voice. i think i could come to like her depending on her material.

The name Alan makes me think she's a fan. Obviously it isn't her real name either, so why would they choose something so stupid for her? They also pick the wonkiest names for Chinese singers: Miriam, Jolin...

lol, that's true. If only they knew how weird name's like Miriam and Elva sounded in English.

I do like the song, her voice is a little high (and just a bit nasal). The PV was nice otherwise.
