^ japanese girls start wearing mini-skirt, boots, get tanned and get straight brown hair...

then it spreads to taiwan and the rest of asia...

that's the amuro effect in the 90's ^_^

That would be awesome if there was another Amuro Boom. It does seem like she is gaining more popularity nowadays.

Yes, I'm very happy with her QoHP+ sound so it's great that it seems to be doing well in Japan.

I'd love a worldwide Amuro Boom.

But yeah, it seems like there is a new Amuro Boom in Japan, or at least one is on its way ...

That would be cool. I wouldn't be surprised seeing as how her hair is gorgeous and now she has those Vidal Sassoon CMs.

sorta . I meant , she just inked a fat/huge endorsement deal with Vidal Sassoon so it's saying something .

my middle sister doesn't want Namie to cut her hair though .

me neither, lol, that's so beautiful, and for the amuro boom, i don't know because what was known as Amuras in the beginning are now the ganguros or something, and it's ugly i think.

I love most of the things she's done since "Break the Rules" so it's about time!!

But her new single is shite imho.

There's definitely an Amuro boom here, her official thread has become ALOT more active since I first came here in 06.

Yep, ever since QoHP she seems to be steadily more popular both in japan and outside.

One thing that's a little strange if there's another Amuro Boom is that her style really hasen't changed that much since the first one. Mini skirts, boots, tan etc, it's still the same. She never changed radically like f.ex. ayu did. So I guess this fashion will only be "new" to the teens not apart of the former amuro boom. And I doubt they will ganguro up this time lol.

I don't know. For me, Chiaki Kuriyama has the ultimate long hair statement. It super straight, super black and super long. <3
