Songs that sound better live~

Which songs by Jpop artists do prefer to hear live over the studio recording? I've got a bunch but I'll let you guys go first >_<

the next is Namie amuro and Ami Suzuki

I'm going to be biased & say basically any song that Ken Hirai performed live .

For him to sound the same if not even better than what you heard on the CD when he performs live it's no joke .

I remembered I watched a performance of him singing Elegy live at MUSIC STATION & on that day he was sick but yet he still can sound flawless which's scary

hitomi sounds high pitched and too dolly in some of her songs in CD but she sounds nice in live! no doubt!

Namie Amuro all the way for me. She sounds so much stronger live than on all the edited stuff on CD and her strong vocals sound really good with the backup vocals.

Sometimes I prefer Utada's live over CD like her "Devil Inside" and "Movin' on without you" performances in the Utada United tour.

I think some of Hikki's live performances were better than the original recordings themselves, but I can't remember which songs....but keep in mind that I'm referring to the past, definitely not anything recent.

If this were'nt about Jpop artists only: I'd say Bon Jovi. XD

None tbh. IMO, studio recordings always sound better than the lives

I found First Love and Automatic @ Utada United '06 were better than the originals. I really enjoyed glitter @ a-nation '07, surprisingly. And Namie's lives are most of the time better than the originals. XD

one song i LOVE live (especially more recently) is Ayu's "Boys & Girls". the music at the end is extended and I just love it! Especially in the MY STORY tour

I also like ELT's lives. Kaori's voice is so cute She's a great singer <3 the old SPEED lives are fantastic, too. And more recently, Perfume have had some pretty great live performances, especially for an electronic group~

*i actually kinda dislike/get bored with Namie's lives...maybe because she doesn't have a very big connection to the audience...and she always looks down and never smiles! that bothers me a lot. it's like she never shows emotion--HOWEVER, her older lives are great because there's so much energy and stuff.

It's not that I like it better but I've always had a liking for both the studio recording as well as the live recording of Amuro Namie - CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK

I think generally I don't like them better but Namie's lives sound great much like her studio recordings.

I like Ayu's Hanabi live. Can't really remember many others from other artists.
