Why is Ayumi so famous for her past?
It seems that way, but I don't understand why. YUI's father also left when she was 3-years-old, right?
Explanation, please? Thanks in advance. Last edited by redkitty; 25th September 2008 at 09:36 AM. |

Probably because Ayu sings about it.

i think other than the fact that ayu does sing about it, is that ayu is so popular in japan, that people are bound to know about her past~

Infamous?
I think you're using the wrong words here.. you're saying that people don't like Ayu because of the fact that her past as an idol person / fatherless girl is known.. I dunno, I think people think of her as a stronger person because of those things..

I didn't know that fact about YUI. I suppose Ayumi's past is known because she's incredibly famous and discusses her experiences in her songs. The lyrics are ambiguous enough that listeners research more on the topic.

Yeah, sesazz and everyone else is right, infamous is a negative word =/...
It's because she sings about it. A Song for XX, teddy bear, Memorial address...

Well, your choice of words was kinda negative. When you describe someone that is infamous, you mean to say that they are well known for something BAAAD. i.e if Ayu was a skank, she'd be infamous for being skanky.

Also, notorious means to be popular for a negative reason. You should use well known, or popular.
