Indonesian fans Ayufreak at ASIA TOUR 2008 Shanghai 18th Oct 2008

Hi, people, I just want to share our report about Ayumi Hamasaki ASIA TOUR 2008 in Shanghai.

This is the first time for Indonesian fans who could go together to attend Ayu’s concert in Shanghai. It was really a lot of fun and an unforgettable moment.

There were 9 ppl of us who went to Shanghai consisted of 6 guys and 3 girls.
And I was one of the girls
Even it was only 9 ppl but I considered it was quite lot of ppl already if compared with last year’s HK ASIA TOUR 2007 where we were only 4 ppl.

PS. this is going to be a very very very long long long report so yea if you don't willing to read it, that's okay... or if you're willing to read it, i'll be so happy and appreciate your time very very much

and my english isn't the best so please understand if you found some sentences/words that sounded funny, please don't laugh at me okay?
i'm just trying to share my experience

~Let's start with Our Journey~
Spoiler:
We were coming from different cities and we met for the first time at KL Air Asia International Airport, LCCT on 14th Oct. Of course, I & two girls have met before; we just never met the guys. We used to chat and spazz through our forum only.

After we met and we chatted and hang out at MCD approximately 3 hours to wait for another two friends who came the last. Then, at 4 pm, we checked in and took the same flight from KL to Hangzhou, China at 5 pm where there’s no direct flight from KL to Shanghai. Therefore, we first stayed at Hangzhou for 3 days 2 nights. And we took one day going around Hangzhou where fortunately, one of the guys’ families is living in Hangzhou. His cousin took us around Hangzhou.
(I think I just have to cut about our journey at Hangzhou) hehe

Then we took a train to Shanghai on 16th Oct.

We arrived at Shanghai train station at around 11.30 am. Then we walked out to find the nearest subway station (like MRT in Singapore) to our hotel. After we arrived at the subway station, we waited for the subway to come. While waiting for quite a while, one friend of mine suddenly called me with her super small voice (apparently one of my girl-friends is totally a shy person and she talks really really in small volume) and she pointed to a billboard in front of us, i saw a familiar look from that billboard, someone wearing Bra then suddenly I shouted, “ah! It’s Ayumi!!!” . All the exhausting looks suddenly turned into full spirit then we all took pics of Ayumi’s WACOAL billboard. We didn’t care of the ppl around us who looked at us. Gosh I told my friend, what, are u? a fan of Ayu or not.. why just kept ur voice down when u saw Ayu’s billboard, shouldn’t u suppose to shout after you saw it? Haha lol

pics of Ayu's WACOAL billboard at Metro station~
this is me..

Then the metro came, we pulled all our heavy baggages inside and most of the ppl inside the subway seeing us like seeing things they never seen before, I thought like, wasn’t it so weird to see ppl taking baggages inside subway? .Some of our friends also took closer pics with Ayu’s WACOAL billboard again where they stood near it. We walked and walked by dragging our super heavy baggages, in the super exhausting looks; finally we got to see our hotel, we felt like heaven all of the sudden. It took for about 1 1/2 hour more to reach to the hotel (from the airport by subway). Then we took a rest, taking a bath again, goshh never did I know that Shanghai (even Hangzhou) was so HOT!!!

At the time, I’d been wondering where was Ayu on that day..but of course, we didn’t just come for Ayu, we also needed to explore Shanghai too. We just prayed for our luck that we could meet Ayu somewhere maybe??? But a friend of mine text-ed me and said that Ayu had already finished filming GREEN PV in the early morning around 6 am. So, we thought that we would never see her anywhere film the PV.

On the 1st day our stay at Shanghai, 16th Oct, we just explored around Shanghai, we went to the Bund, to the infamous Pearl Tower and so on. And not to forget, we went to hunt WACOAL counter at around Nanjing road area. Finally, we found out one of the stands at one of the plazas called Landmark, and I was the only person who bought the Bra where all the boys were the ones who were overly exciting seeing WACOAL counter (you know how guys/men usually feel embarrass if they stay near the bra counter, but surprisingly, all the guys whom were Ayu’s fans are just too eagerly over WACOAL more than the girls haha lol). Then came the sales lady, they were so nice to us, even we only bought one set, they were so nice talking to us and we told them that we were big fans of Ayu who came from Indonesia and we also came to watch the concert too, then the other lady gave each person one WACOAL booklet and also the shopping bag with Ayu’s WACOAL promo pic on it where the other lady was kinda mad actually because we all asked for more hahaha but I thought that she was just joking. We would never expect that we would be given lots of WACOAL stuff even though we only bought one set.

The funniest thing is that before we found the WACOAL counter, all of us were extremely tiring walking around, with the legs hurting so much, but once we saw the WACOAL counter, all the faces just directly turned excited and even more excited after we all got the WACOAL shopping bags and booklets. Ayu really could give us strength and spirit haha

After finished paying for the BRA, we went outside the building and waited for 2 guys who didn’t come with us for the WACOAL hunting mission. But we were keeping two booklets and bags for them too. So, we took pics together with the shopping bags where other ppl on the street looked at us. It looked like we were doing WACOAL free promotion. Hehe

Pics of us with the WACOAL shopping bags also some of the pics at Shanghai's Nanjing Road~

~Shanghai Grand Stage to see Ayu! Try our luck! 17th October 2008~
Spoiler:
On the 2nd day, 17th Oct, we went to the famous people’s square (Nanjing road) area again where we had not yet shopped anything yesterday (well, only WACOAL BRA for me). Oh yea.. most of the subway stations that we’d been passing through, there were lots of Ayu’s WACOAL Billboard everywhere, we were like taking pics with every billboards we met in every station we passed through.

We thought of going to Jade Temple (where Ayu had ever been there before, like last year’s Asia Tour), but too bad, we didn’t go there anymore because no busses available at that moment. So we just went to the Jing An’s temple where suddenly it was raining. Then we went for shopping again at the nearest plaza, went to the Shanghai Technology museum also having lunch there and shopping around at the plaza where selling lots of cheap goods.

When the time reached nearly dawn, we decided to go back to the hotel, then one of the guys who apparently were our “tour guide”  at that time; he suggested that we should stop at Shanghai Grand Stage before we headed back to hotel. He said we should try our luck that maybe Ayu was there for rehearsal, because Ayu would always have rehearsal one day before the concert day. So we reached Shanghai Grand Stage and we walked around the area to seek for backstage area which was the North Hall, then we finally found it, we saw there were some fans already which apparently were Ayuchina.com members. We saw some of Ayu’s staff whom we usually saw on DVD kept on going in and out the backstage door. So we kept our hope high that Ayu was inside. We waited for quite a long time, then we saw green color bus coming near North Hall, we were so exciting that we thought maybe this was Ayu’s bus. We were all standby near the bus with our cameras ready. Then suddenly, we saw each of Ayu’s dancers coming out from the North Hall door one by one, I started to shout each of their names where I also forgot some of their names though, but we were the loudest one when shouting their names. Zin was the nicest one because he was the only one who looked at us and waving. Where the others were playing cool~ then their bus gone.

i only could manage capture Zin!!

We thought that maybe the dancers had finished rehearsal, and Ayu might be the last one to come out. So we were still waiting there, and one of our guys’ was being approached by one of the Ayuchina members. Then they were talking, apparently, he was saying that Ayu didn’t go out from the hotel in two days already so she was not at the Grand Stage, she would start rehearsal on the next morning instead. When we heard that, all of us turned disappointed and it sounded weird because didn’t Ayu always being professional? That she would rehearse like one day before the concert? then Ayuchina members said that they would just go home. But we were in such dilemma of whether going back to the hotel or kept on staying there, since all of us were still keeping the high hope, so we decided to stay there for a little longer and there was one male fan who was standing there too alone, waiting, he was wearing ayu’s t-shirt with the batman wings on the A logo (very cute).

take a better look to the male fan whose shirt got A with evil/batman wing on his back...my friend took the pic of it hahaha loL
*sorry mate to take ur pic without ur permission)

Then also came the other male fan, who approached to us, his name was Simon, local people, then we chatted with him in English. He asked us where we were coming from and where our seats would be at the concert. We made a new friend all of the sudden, then a moment later, he was talking with his friend on the phone, and it was info about Ayu that she was really staying at the hotel two days in a row. So she was not at Grand Stage at all, the 2nd time of disappointment. Then Simon said that he would just go home too. So we said goodbye and saying that hoped we met again on the next day.

Pic of us waiting on the right

Then, before we really went back, our “tour guide” once again suggested a silly act in front of Ayu’s staff. He asked us to rehearse the “MY ALL” hand moves. He said maybe this would attract the ayu’s staff. Hehe silly. After that, he also suggested that maybe we would try our luck to try to speak with one of the Ayu’s staff and asked where was Ayu. Then one of our girls, who could speak a little Japanese, approached one of the staff who was outside smoking. When we were trying to speak, he didn’t even response to us, he just suddenly walked away, he was kinda rude

So, finally at around 8.30 pm, we decided to just go back and had our dinner. All were looked kinda disappointing but at least, we got to see the dancers 
We decided to go back to the hotel early and took a rest for the next day’s survival for Ayu’s concert. But before we went to sleep, I asked all the boys to gather in our room and watched Ayu’s CDL07-08 DVD to rehearse the “MY ALL” hand moves, but too bad the DVD Player couldn’t play the DVD at all. Weird. So we all ended up sleeping.

~Ayu's Day~ Shanghai Grand Stage 18th October 2008 ~
Spoiler:
The next day, 18th Oct, was Ayu’s day. For the whole day, we just stayed at Shanghai Grand Stage. We were ready with all the t-shirts that specially made for this concert, we were 9 ppl so we made each of our t-shirts with the words “WE LOVE AYU”, and each person had one word on the tshirt. So when we stood together, there would be “WE LOVE AYU”.

We started leaving the hotel at around 9.30 am, but before we left; we took pics with our forum’s banner in front of the hotel. Then we went to the metro station, we also took pics again with Ayu’s WACOAL billboard with our attributes for the concert haha, and lots of ppl were looking at us. But we didn’t care at all.

Finally we reached Shanghai Grand Stage at around 10.30 am. We had seen lots of ppl there already queuing up for something that we didn’t know, we also started to queue up, and we thought maybe they were queuing up for tour merchandises?? But weird enough, why all the people were holding papers and some of them wearing formal clothes and consisted of older men and women? So I decided to go to the other area to seek for information about the queue. I went with one of the guys. Then, suddenly, a lady approached me and asking me about Ayu’s ticket concerts, asking me where to buy, I told her I didn’t know, because we had our tickets already then I just asked her what this queue for? She said it was for people who wanted to look for jobs. So, Grand Stage at that moment was holding kind of job fair event. I laughed so hard after knowing that, where I saw my group members were already queuing up while holding papers that maybe were given to them and following the track, and then I gave them a hand sign to them to take apart from the queue. Then I told them what the queue was for. We were all laughing so hard because we were being paranoid about not getting the tour merchandises. And then we knew that the tour merchandises had not yet even been sold yet.

We saw Ayuchina.com members were already gathering at one spot and one of our guys approached them and asking when the tour merchandises would start to be sold, they also didn’t have any idea about it. Then we saw them taking some of the boxes and we asked them what those boxes for, they didn’t want to tell us, instead, saying those were for the secret weapon. Then, we were walking on our own. We found a spot then we took out our banners to take pics with the Shanghai Grand Stage as the background. Then, we walked again around the area where I started to call a friend of mine who lives and studies in Shanghai and a fan of Ayu too that she would also come to the Grand Stage. I met her for the very first time as well.

While waiting for her, we went to the North Hall again where we knew that all Ayu’s staff would go in and out from there. We were taking our spot at the gates that barricading the North Hall door like 3 meters away. One by one of Ayu’s staff was kept on coming for rehearsal. We saw almost all Ayu’s staff that we usually just saw on the DVD. Some of the staffs whom were usually really close to Ayu, who always discuss work stuff with Ayu. While waiting for my friend, we saw some of other different Ayu’s china fans coming (they were different because the t-shirts they were wearing were different from Ayuchina’s t-shirts). Their t-shirts stated “ayufans.com” or “ayufans.net” and also had the words “MY ALL” something2. At the same time, some ppl also looked at us and taking our pictures where apparently, at the back of our t-shirts, we also stated our own forum’s logo. Yea, it felt like being famous star for a day  haha lol

Ayu's staff.. don't u guys realize who is he?

Finally, I could meet with my friend; she came at almost 12 pm. We chatted for the first time, and asking her about where to meet Ayu like last year, was it here? Etc, etc. Then suddenly, an ayuchina.com member came to one of our guys and offered Ayu’s fan made fans that they made by themselves and they sold for only 10 Yuan including light stick, a pin and also a printed paper of Ayu’s A Complete pic on it just to promote their forum. But weird enough, an ayuchina.member promoting ayufans.net/ayufans.com stuff?? Well, whatever. Hahaha then, one of the girls from ayufans.net came near us and starting having conversation with us, we thought that she might be the forum’s administrator or something since she was wearing kinda different outfit with the others, she reminded of us of Ayu’s evolution costume at ASIA TOUR 2007 and we complimented about her. Then she also teasing one of our guys who pinned Ayu’s Forgiveness ayupans on their shirts and she said that she would steal it, so beware. hahaha then she also offered Ayu’s 10th Anniversary small stickers that we saw all their members were sticking those on their cheeks. So, we thought that we would do the same  they were really nice

After that one of their members came by near us and showed us that he got Ayu’s signature in a secret activity with Ayu, I didn’t really sure bout what kind of activity because I was too surprised to see Ayu’s signature that he could get, so lucky him!

and later, we saw Ayu’s staffs who were being ready with their video-camera on to shoot something and some other of the Ayufans.com members started to take out their super big big big banner which was so amazingly beautiful with Ayu’s Mirrorcle World cover on it.

All the people who were around there started to take the pics of it. then the ayu’s staff came by to shoot that big banner, so our group also quickly took out our own banner and holding it in front of the gates and when tha ayu’s staff came back to the backstage door and saw our banner, he was also capturing our banner and our faces one by one where I quickly shouted in front of the camera, “Ayu, Aishiteruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!” . I’m sure the other guys also did the same  so yea, I hope that our banner as well as our faces will be included on the next ASIA TOUR 2008 DVD next year  that’s our only wish  we just want Ayu to know that Indonesia also has lots of fans too

Then a while later, we saw a green bus like the previous day and we really sure that the dancers were coming this time and yes, we were right. All the people were starting to gather near the bus to welcome the dancers and at the time, all the dancers seemed nicer, they greeted, waved and smiled with all the fans. Oh well, Peco and Princess Yoko were also coming with the dancers. Then I could only manage to take their back view pics  ah again, Zin was really so nice! He smiled and waved to me twice!  gosh I think I like him now  haha

my friend, Yoshia (ayuGAME)~

The time passed by pretty fast until it reached to 1 pm, we still waited there and hoping that Ayu was the next person who would come next since the dancers had already come as well as the other staff. We still waited there even though we felt hungry, but luckily we had prepared some bread to eat first. We also sat on the pavement for a while because we were starting to feel exhausted since we had been standing like 4 hours already. then, we also decided to take pics together with Ayufans.com/Ayufans.net members together with their super big banner also our own banner  but too bad the super big banner wasn’t that clear enough since ayufans.com member couldn’t really stand that high. And once again, so many people were taking our pics too  haha then we asked them, whether they would go to have lunch or not, they said they would just wait for Ayu to come first then would just go to eat. So we thought of doing the same thing  we still waited there for another 2 hours.

Taking pics with the Ayufans.com members~

We saw another bus again approaching to us, then all the fans were gathering once again; this time we gotta see Yoochan, Enrique, Shingo, Nobuo, Miyazaki and so on. I only managed to capture Shingo and Miyazaki’s pics.

Yea, we thought, finally all Ayu’s staff had come, and then the next person would be REALLY AYU. We were getting excited that we would really see Ayu very soon. Then, at almost 3 pm, we saw all the Chinese bodyguards were already gathering in front of the North Hall door with the entirely serious look. Also the other Ayu’s staff also were ready with their video-camera on hand (there was a female cameraman; she looked very small, the same height with Ayu I guess, but she’s able to carry the very big video-camera on her shoulder, wow so cool!).

Then some of the Chinese bodyguards were discussing of how to get the car/van to park in front of the North Hall door with all the fans surrounding there, later on, they were asking all the fans moved and starting to pull the gates one by one and placed them in front of where the fans stood. So there was a clear area where the van could go in. all the fans had started to get ready to welcome Ayu. Where suddenly, there was a van coming in and all the fans had been shouting “Ayu Ayu Ayu…” but it was not Ayu, instead of TRF members, Chisa and Etsu, no Sam. All were kinda disappointing too.

Again, we were waiting and waiting, and I was starting to feel hunger, I was chanting that Ayu should really come quickly so we all could get to eat very soon. A moment later, some fans were shouting over something that passed on the road, it was the big Ayu’s billboard for the ASIA TOUR 2008 Shanghai concert with the Mirrorcle World promo pic that was taken to somewhere. We all looked to that way because we thought it was Ayu who was not even on the van, but she came by walking hahaha

And finally, it was around 3.30 pm, another van had come, an extraordinary van that was not looked like the usual van. We were all really sure that it was AYU this time. All the fans had started to go wild by shouting Ayu’s names all over the place, all the fans had been preparing for their own Ayu’s stuff like booklets, covers anything for Ayu to sign. The van was parked in front of me, but too bad, the door was actually opened on the other side, so I couldn’t even see Ayu walking down from the van, where the fans from the other side had been shouting very loudly because they had seen Ayu, I couldn’t even move more to the front, where I just shouted and shouted.

I thought like, why Ayu was so small, so that all the bodyguards were surrounding her and not many ppl could see her. Even I didn’t see Ayu but I knew that Ayu was walking here and there to give signatures, and I was not lucky enough to hand her my booklet though  she didn’t even come to the place where I stood because the van was there just right in front of me, Ayu wouldn’t come near there right? There was no place for her to stand. Too bad   I never thought that my very first spot was being taken by somebody else. So yea, I gave up to keep on pushing an pushing with the other fans, so I just waited to know whether the other Ayufreak members were lucky enough or not to get her pics also her signatures, if possible. And yes, after Ayu went inside the Grand Stage, surprisingly, two of our members, both were boys could get Ayu’s signatures even though they couldn’t see Ayu because they just handed in their booklets to the bodyguards.

Ayu's signatures that my Friend got, he got on both items!!!! how lucky he is!!

also another friend who got signature on the Mirrorcle world stamp~

And also the other member could see Ayu clearly but he lost his booklet taken by someone else, if not he would be super lucky (Vadise, I know that u’re going to read this so bear with it, will you?). Many people’s booklets were losing as well. Oh yea, I also could manage to capture only one pic of Ayu when she was walking to the North Hall door, I just randomly captured actually. But quite lucky, I could get her pic right

(Vadise, please share your Ayu's pics please?????????????)

After finished all the struggling, we finally could go to have our very late lunch!!!! Yeah!
We went to the nearest plaza to eat. We rested for a while there because our legs were totally so hurting at the time. We talked about our experience just now and looking at each other cameras also some of us even recorded Ayu on the video cam. Ayu was so simple that day, she was wearing the black knitted beanie, white t-shirt, a short black skirt, high heels boots an also her favorite DIOR black glasses, I think~ since she’s been wearing it everywhere she goes. She looked pretty all the way 

Finished our lunch, we should get prepare for our next mission also, the tour merchandises!!!!
Since we didn’t know when the merchandises would be on sale, because no information bout that anywhere. Even Ayuchina members didn’t know anything about it. so we went back to the Grand Stage and started to seek for the tour merchandises’ information. We were walking around the grand stage, we met the big Ayu’s billboard ASIA TOUR 2008 Shanghai Concert (where just now it was taken somewhere by a truck, so it was to be put on the other side of the Grand Stage), a lot of people took pics with it. so we queued up to take pics.

There had been lots of people started to sell Ayu’s fan-made merchandises, like posters, ayupan t-shirts, pins, poker cards, bags, CDs, and even Wang Lee Hom’s merchandises were also sold at Ayu’s concert area, weird, I wondered, if Ayu’s merchandises were also being sold at Wang Lee Hom’s concert area or not (because Wang Lee Hom’s concert was also held on the same day as Ayu’s, the venues were so close), we could even hear Wang Lee Hom rehearsal.

Oh yea, I found that I liked Shanghai’s concert atmosphere more than when I went to HK last year, I didn’t see lots of Ayu’s merchandises were being sold around the area, except for just some stick lights, I even didn’t see any big billboard just to tell ppl know that Ayu’s concert was going to be held on that day, so that ppl could also take pics with it. but no.. nothing if compared to Shanghai one in my opinion (no offense though). Okay back to the story.

After taking pics with the big billboard, we decided to take a way round the Grand Stage to look for where the tour merchandises were going to be sold. But again, we found nothing except for some fan-made merchandise. Then, some of us were interested to buy some of the fan-made merchandises, some of them bought the poker cards with all Ayu’s pics on every of the cards, also we all bought the black 10th Anniversary bags an in the end, also bought some pins.

Later on, we walked to the VIP gate where all the 2000yuan ticket holders got inside through there, then we saw from the outside that we had seen the banners of the tour merchandises had been hanging on the wall inside, so we thought that the tour merchandises must be sold inside there, so we decided to queue there where there were already 2 person queuing up there. We also met 2 fans from Indonesia who’re currently studying at China. We talked for a while (One of them was AHS member too, with free & easy username, couldn’t believe that the World is really small!). And my friend whom we met at North Hall door was also the 2000yuan ticket holder. Then, we got info that actually, each of the gates had the tour merchandises selling counter. So we thought that we would just go to our gate (where the 1400yuan ticket holders would go). So, in the end, we separated with my dear friend then we promised we would meet up again after the concert.

The day was getting dark now; it was about 6++ pm already, so 2 hours more to the concert. We also heard that the tour merchandises would be sold at 7 pm. So we had been getting ready in front of the gate again, where we had already seen the tour merchandises banner hanging on the wall. We were preparing for our money and decided which merchandises that we would buy later. Then, we saw a female Chinese fan who was holding the gold big tote bag, one of the tour merchandises and we asked randomly where she bought it, she said bought it through websites like ebay, amazon, and the such. I also asked her how to buy the tour merchandises in here? no queue up? Or something? To my surprise, she said there was no queue at all, so once the gates were opened, all the people would just run to the counter and we needed to climb up the stairs as well, so we all should really prepare ourselves. I was liked, “what????? How come?????” and she also asked where we were coming from, we told her that we came from Indonesia, she was so excited to hear that and envied us that much since she said she was so proud that there were fans who came from far away to visit Shanghai also watching Ayu’s concert. She was just so funny 

After waiting like 1 hour, finally, we saw some of the securities had been walking down near us and he said he needed to see the ticket concert so we could go inside. so from then on, all the ppl were starting to go crazy, running like mad so they could get to buy the tour merchandises, luckily I was on the 1st row of the queue, yea actually there was a queue, but too bad.. there was no line between the 1st row and the 2nd row ppl, then it made the 2nd row ppl kept on squeezing into the 1st row, so I was so MAD, extremely MAD, I yelled at a guy and a girl who were trying so hard to squeeze in front of me, and to my surprise, my mandarin was flowing real good when I was MAD, there was a male staff who was there to prevent the 2nd row ppl to get into 1st row, but still some of ppl at the 2nd row could get inside to buy first, geee I was so mad bout that.

Even though I’d scolded that guy, he still successfully squeezing into in front of me, geee I felt like I wanted to smack his head really, but I thought ah that was ok, as long as the other 2nd row ppl wouldn’t get in anymore. I guess the staff understood my situation so he managed to pull all the 2nd row ppl back. But still, the ppl were like mad cows, seriously, kept on pushing to the front.. geee! I thought that why didn’t make a line so that the ppl would easily queue up without pushing at each other? So all the ppl would just buy the merchandises in piece?

But I didn’t care so much when it was my turn to buy the merchandises. After struggling in the crazy queue, there was still another thing that pissed me off too, two counter ladies made me mad again, I had clearly pointed to one of them the merchandises that I wanted one by one, very very clearly, but she kept on taking the wrong items for me so many times, while the lady who counted the amount of the purchases, kept on adding the sums on the calculator, I was so afraid that they would count wrong, or probably, they were doing it purposely so that they could cheat our money, but I just didn’t care, I asked her to count once again. I didn’t care if there many ppl were waiting at my back since I didn’t want to lose my money for nothing. The good thing was that, we could buy more than one item in Shanghai and I didn’t know that, as in HK, we only could buy one item each per person. But too bad, the tour merchandises were so a few if compared to last year. No light sticks, No light fan, No t-shirts, No Ayupan straps and so on.

After buying all the merchandises, we gathered at one place while waiting for the others and keeping all the items inside the gold big tote bag (I love that bag so much, since the material is more firm than last year’s white tote bag). Then, we started to walk together to find the way to get inside the hall and the weirdest was that, there were not many securities outside the area and we didn’t know whom to ask where our seats were supposed to take place. Before that, we met with Ayu’s very big WACOAL billboard, so everybody took a turn to take pics with it.

So we got inside one of the doors and we met a security, we asked him where our seats??? Then he guided us outside, and he just pointed door no. 11, asked us to go inside from there, I thought that he would be really nice to find us our seats. But too bad, we were doing on our own again.

We finally found seats row 11 from no. 23-39, we thought that our seats were really great because we were sitting really like in front of the stage, totally in the center. So we were getting excited. We sat there like 10-15 minutes, we took pics together.

my friend, Rico~

Then suddenly, two beautiful ladies, looked like artists for us, asked us to hand her our tickets, so we gave them, I thought that we probably had sit in the wrong seats. And yeah, it was really wrong seats. Gee we were so disappointing, then we moved away again, and one of our guys went to find our actual seats and finally he found out where there were seats taken by other ppl already, weird… so we asked him to take out his tickets, ah gladly, they were the one who took the wrong seats, we finally found our actual seats. Oh geeeee.. I felt like wanted to smack the securities heads, since they didn’t even service us or anything, they just let u find ur own seats. Geeeeeeee…. So unprofessional if compared to HK Coliseum, where got every securities to help you so you wouldn’t be lost. Didn’t I just say I love Shanghai atmosphere, yea love it but not with the people, geeee~~ (no offense with the China fans, they’re great … but just those people who work there, they don’t care at all to the people who’re there to enjoy a show).

~Ayumi Hamasaki ASIA TOUR 2008 Shanghai Stop 18th October 2008 setlist~

*Sorry guys if some of the report of the concert is not that accurate, because there are too many memories during the day, so yea please be understanding, and if you guys willing to correct my report about it, please do!!! i'll appreaciate it so much*

Spoiler:
So we ended up in our actual seats and well, the seats were kinda to the right side, but not really that right side, so the view was still okay, still got to see the whole stage 
It was still 15 minutes for the concert to start, we were all getting excited, but I was not really talking since I was kinda tired. Better to take a rest for a moment before the concert started, right?

The concert was late for like 5-10 minutes but not as late as when I watched at HK last year though.

So the concert had started at around 8.15 pm, the building lights had started to dim and left with all the blue color stick lights (gosh no stick lights for this year, so we were all waving the fan-made stick lights), all were shouting so hard when it first came out the interlude..

reBiRTH
along side with the video that showing all Ayu’s singles covers from her very first debut poker face until the latest one Mirrorcle World and ended up with the 10th anniversary congratulation message. All the ppl had started to shout Ayu’s name and getting crowded.

Then continued with the beginning of the interlude..

The Judgement day
The interlude began with the video of the ship moving around where we got to see Ayu’s back walking down the hall also to the deck, we just got see her stirring the ship inside the ship controller room. The “lalalalala” part was sung LIVE from the backstage. We were all so exciting when hearing her voice then all the male dancers coming out from the 2 different “doors” from the left and right side holding “A” logo flags then dancing around with the music. The concert had finally started!

talkin’ 2 my self
Then Ayu came out from the middle hydraulic stage singing the chorus part of talkin’ 2 my self in acoustic/acapella style. Her voice was powerful!!
Then she hit the first song with talkin’ 2 myself and I was singing along with her from the start, I didn’t even take any pics since I really wanted to just enjoy the concert that day.
The costume was just the same like she was wearing at HK concert, no difference.
She danced just like on the PV.. just so cool!

Then came the 2nd song…

A song for XX
I even didn’t know what the setlist of this Asia Tour 2008, so I was kinda surprised when she sang A song for xx, since it was my fave song, she sang it with the mic in front of her just like at a-nation 2008. just so amazing!! Her vocal was so so so powerful..
After she finished the song, she went back to the backstage from the middle hydraulic stage.
Then Peco and Princess also the band just like usual, introducing themselves with the video behind and doing some improvisations.

Depend on you
The 3rd song, the curtain on the left and right sides were projected with lots of dotted pink squares or boxes and a video was shown in the center stage, showing very cute Ayu with the female dancers also the male dancers wearing the pinky school uniforms and they were acting like high school-ers who were teasing each other. It was really a very cute video I love it so much!! Ayu was extremely cute on the video. After the video had been finished shown, then Ayu appeared with all the female dancers, I don’t remember anymore whether the male dancers also appeared or not. Then Ayu started to sing and like I had told before at ASIA TOUR 2008 thread on the News section. I don’t like the way Ayu sang, she sounded “too cute”, she strained her voice too much where sometimes, it sounded like an old grandma singing seriously. I think a lot of ppl were surprised when hearing her singing that way, why didn’t she just sing normally just like she sang HONEY at AT05?

The concept of the dance moves was looked like STEP you though where the male dancers were trying to catch the girls attention but the girls were playing hard to get.

Oh yea one thing, I thought that Ayu would sing Depend on you the 10th anniversary version which I really like, but too bad, it was not that version.

Then the next song was fly high

Fly high
Ayu was doing the same bowing-to-the-left-and-right kind of action again and clapping at the beginning of the song. Then she started to sing, all the audiences were following the way she always does, the hand gestures whenever singing Fly high. And I was the part of it. I was enjoying singing the whole song and getting high~ 

Before the fifth song, there was a video showing Ayu was being chased by her female dancers and we got to see the flash back and forward of Ayu was being tied on the wall and also being released by the female dancers. I didn’t really get the story of the video though but one thing was that Ayu’s action was pretty convinced when she expressed her fear, she really looked great. We felt like watching a movie.

The video was for the opening of the song..

(don’t) leave me alone
At first, I was wondering where the big circle wall thing would start to appear, was it from the center of the big screen? Where the big screen would be separated in two, then the big circle wall would start to rise up and Ayu was tied there. But it was not.. it was appeared in the middle of the main stage that we didn’t realize at all that Ayu suddenly appeared being tied on the wall then she started to sing. And it sounded live for me. When the big round wall thing was being turned Ayu was not singing because it was the part before the 2nd brigde. Maybe during Japan tours, the big circle wall thing was being turned, at the same Ayu was still singing the part of the song. Therefore, she needed to lipsynch on that song or even not, I couldn’t really tell.

Then she finally was being released from the wall, she walked down to join the female dancers and danced the choreo like on the PV. Then the black jacket was taken off from Ayu so left with the outfit for my name’s WOMEN but without the feathers yet since Ayu would sing another song before my name’s WOMEN.

Decision
It was just the same like in the previous CDL07-08 very rockish atmosphere in here and she didn’t crack a bit. Totally powerful if compared with CDL07-08.

My name’s WOMEN
In this song, Ayu and the female dancers were just doing the same choreo like on the AT05 not much difference, except for only the outfits. Very sexy moves all the way.

The next song..

Marionette
Before Marionette was sung, the opening video for Marionette was shown; the scenes were almost 100% looked like the PV but just different outfits, different hairstyles and also each of the male dancers were formed as dolls before they suddenly turned into the real human.

Then they were all appearing from the middle hydraulic stage together with Ayu then walked to the certer circle stage up front and got ready soon after the beginning of the music was being played. Ayu was wearing a white gown with pink laces on it, a very dolly like kind of gown. They were all acting just like on the PV and Ayu was definitely really great in acting as marionette, totally looked like a living doll plus. Her expression was definitely looked so blank; she really did a great job in impersonating it. It has become one of my fave performances throughout this tour. The way she danced throughout the song was just amazing, I was so amazed an I think everyone (Vadise, remember I told you that Ayu looked a lot like a doll?). I really can’t wait to see the making off vid of this asia tour 2008, really curious of how she learned to dance the Marionette dance moves. When come to the first chorus, the thing like the merry-go-round (sorry don’t know what to call haha) was rising up and made the performance much more mesmerizing.

after the song had finished, there was a video shown again, where showing Ayu was trying to switch on the merry-go-round toy but she couldn't, she looked so afraid then she looked around, where suddenly the male dancers were looking at her from the top, where she was actually the marionette herself locked inside box, all the male dancers were laughing at her, then Ayu faced back with her eyes became white and she turned into a marionette.

Another video was shown before the song Hanabi..

Hanabi
Another amazing acting by Ayu . All the ppl were amazed by the beauty of Ayu when the video was shown, she was wearing the dress just like she was wearing during the Japan tours. She looked definitely like a goddess, and once again Shuya was the main actor on the video and the scene was about the separation of two lovers again, Ayu was liked on the top of the stairs where they tried so hard to reach each other, but they couldn’t then Shuya felt down to the ground where we could see Shuya was already on the main stage laying down. Then he did the routine dance by himself, where the video was still being shown in which Ayu was crying so hard which made me cried as well, and the ppl on my back, kept on saying, “goshh Ayu is so beautiful….”. The music that had been played as the background was making the atmosphere even more heartbreaking.

Then, Ayu appeared from the hydraulic stage in the middle again wearing the same outfit just like on the HK tour. Then she moved forward and the beginning of Hanabi was played. Ayu started to sing. She was so into that song and I felt like she wanted to cry. Most of our group members were crying on this song because Ayu was just too beautiful. Hehe 

After Hanabi Ayu continued with another song End roll

End roll
Never expected that she would sing this old song, I was so surprised. During End roll, Kaeru did the Tissue Dance again~
Oh well, I didn’t really like Ayu’s voice in here too, when she tried to hit the high note, she couldn’t really do it well, she cracked a little bit.
But it was better than depend on you though 
Ayu finished the song and went down through the middle Hydraulic stage

then Kaeru finished the whole show all alone. She was doing it so amazingly as well as so breathtaking  A big round applause was given to her.

*thanks for jiarongisme that i've finally remembered that only Kaeru did the tissue dance for AT08 during End Roll..*

Next song is the medley ~

Starting from here, I started to capture pictures because I thought that the securities were kinda lame that they didn’t really care at all whether ppl would want to take pics or not, so yea, I took the opportunity that I didn’t have during the HK asia tour last year, where I was escorted out from the concert hall then I missed appears performance  really, the securities there were everywhere to look whether who captured the pics. Since it was nearly end of the concert, so I just captured every pics for the rest of the show.

i don't remember anymore when the black curtain that covered the main stage’s 4 pillars on the left and right sides vanished with the loud BANG sound then we could see the whole stage design in the colorful colors which was mostly dominated with gold color and it was so amazingly beautiful. I thought that the 4 pillars were only being shown by the projector without the real forms (I’m sorry if u can’t understand what I’ve explained haha). So it was really surprising when we saw the whole stage finally.

SURREAL ~ evolution ~ SURREAL

Before the start of the song, the band members were playing music, and then Ayu came out again from the middle hydraulic stage and started to sing SURREAL. Ayu was wearing the gold sexy outfit when the the wavy long hair (I think she was wearing wig or having hair extension because when we saw her at the time she came to the Grand Stage, her hair was short). They were singing in the same concept just like any SURREAL performances. Like usual, Ayu, Yoochan, Enrique, Peco and Princess Yoko were walking to the center circle stage up front. I don’t remember if the center circle stage was rising up or not, maybe it was because on the previous performances of SURREAL, the circle stage would always rise up.

Like the usual medley performance, before Ayu hit the “lalalala” part on SURREAL, Ayu started to sing evolution then Ayu walked to the left and right side of the stage to greet the fans at both sides. All the dancers had already come out to dance the evolution dance. Then, Ayu continued singing the “lalalala” part of SURREAL until the end.

We were all getting exciting throughout this medley performance then finally we reached the climax of the show. Everyone had been so anticipating seeing with our own eyes the flying ship that could turn around in 360 degrees.

Mirrorcle World

Before the start of the song, a video that was being shown was the continuation of the 1st video that had been shown before during The Judgment day interlude. It was liked the 2nd part of the story. I couldn’t really remember what I saw on the video, probably, it only showed the flying ship that had finally landed somewhere and Ayu was on top of the ship to look around. Then the big white curtain with the A logo printed on it, was covering the main stage so we couldn’t see how the flying ship appeared, maybe Ayu just wanted to make a surprise for us. Though, I kinda know how the flying ship appeared on stage, my opinion was that, from the very beginning, the ship had already been hidden behind the big screen in the middle where it could be separated/opened into two parts then the ship was pushed to the front. But all the way, it was still a surprise for me to see the most attractive view of the entire show.

Then, all Ayu’s dancers were appearing to the stage wearing the captain-like kind of outfits, they were like marching to the middle main stage and dancing to the music, then the white curtain was opened/vanished/risen up or whatsoever trick they did, it was just disappeared, so we could finally see the ship and Ayu was on the top of the ship then she started to sing Mirrorcle World. There were lots of sparkling lights (like stars) at the flying ship’s background as if it was during the night, and it was indicating a flying ship! The outfit she was wearing was the same just like the one she wore at HEY3X and HK tour. She looked so sexy and hot!

All the audience was getting high because Gosh!! Listening to this song live was just purely amazing. Ayu’s powerful voice, the beat of the song, the electric guitar sound were all completely stunning, even more stunning when the ship could turn around when the song reached the chorus part. Then Ayu left the ship, joined the dancers in the middle stage and dancing around and even did high kicks just like she always loves to do lately in tv performances. The ship was liked “playing” by itself, it turned around again following the music.

Then at the end of the song, Ayu was standing together with the dancers in the middle and sang the part, “Nakanai de irareru no wa…..” then the song was actually extended where Ayu went back to the ship and went up to the top of the ship and continued to sing, “Yeah… yeah yeah Yeah…”, we were getting high again.

Gosh, I can’t really remember where Ayu started to introduce her band members, maybe it was during SURREAL ~ evolution ~ SURREAL. And she even forgot her lyric in evolution song, if I’m not mistaken.

So the main concert had ended.

We were going to encore.

Encore

Just like usual, the “A…A…AYU” was back alongside with the video of dancing A logo on both small screens hanging on the left and right side of the main stage. The video also showed a message that asked the audience to answer the questions that were being asked on the video. It was liked, “Does everybody happy?” and all the audience was answering it with a loud noise.

Then a moment later, Ayu and the whole band members were coming out from the backstage. Ayu’s appearance was exactly the same just like on the HK tour, with the braided hair at the front, kinda reminded me of the 2003 style. So Ayu greeted everyone in English, liked “how’s everybody?” etc… then she said, she would like to sing her favorite song in english, which was

Dearest

then she said, she would like to sing her favorite song in english, which was Dearest.
Oh~ it was my favorite song at all time, since that was the song that made me love Ayu for the very first time. She sang this song beautifully, she really could hit all the high notes right, just plainly wonderful 

Voyage

Then she continued with the next song which was Voyage, oh so wonderful again, remembering that I was just singing that song at karaoke a week before I went to Shanghai 

So wonderful to listen to both old songs and she did really great on that song too but just, she did a slight mistake by singing the part “Bokutachi wa….” where she had not supposed to sing yet. and she was smiling to that mistake 
And If I’m not wrong, Ayu was crying on this song but she tried to endure it.

MC part

Finished singing both songs for the encore, the MC part was the next section. Ayu introduced Yocchan to the audience as the MC of the concert. Then Yocchan greeted everyone with mandarin and he was just so funny, Ayu was like teasing him about the mandarin he had learnt. Ah surprisingly, and I just thought about it, we didn’t celebrate her 10th anniversary at all, wondering why~ since it was her 10th anniversary tour where last year, her 9th anniversary was celebrated where the whole audience singing for her.

And we also tried so hard to rise up our 10th anniversary message banner to show her during the MC part, but we knew that the chance for her to see was kinda slim, so we just hope that our banner would be filmed by the Ayu’s staff.

Then they continued to talk in Japanese which I didn’t really catch haha. Then Zin was called up to the stage to teach the MY ALL hand moves. He greeted the audience with mandarin too. She and Ayu chatted for a while then Zin started to teach us.

We were surprised that Zin’s mandarin was real good, very fluent!! i wondered was he really could speak or he learnt so hard before the show? But never mind, he was so good in fact. He guided us step by step with Ayu as his assistant. It was very funny when Zin started to say the first step in mandarin, then Ayu was following whatever Zin was saying but she missed a few words of the mandarin that outcome with different meaning which made the whole audience laughing so hard. Then Ayu even teased Zin that he looked very nervous where his face was full of sweat and Zin made a funny expression about it (goshh I love him even more hahaha ). Then, they started from the beginning again, more seriously this time.

Because Zin was the person who taught us how to do the MY ALL hand moves, at every hand gestures, Ayu taught us to mention “Zin Zin” just to have fun. We were practicing MY ALL hand moves 4-5 times and the last attempt together with the music on the background.

Finished with MY ALL hand moves “class”

Ayu mentioned that they would have acappella section then I didn’t know what they were talking about on stage that made Yoochan suddenly impersonated Ayu singing Never Ever just the chorus part.

Who… acappella

Ayu chose Who… for Shanghai acappella section then Peco and Princess Yoko joined Ayu at the middle stage. Ayu started to find the key first then they started to sing in a great harmonization. At first I thought that Ayu would sing the Chinese version since she had ever sung the Chinese version for A Complete Overseas version. But, too bad, she was not singing it where I was really expecting she would sing it. a big round applause by the audience for Ayu.

After all the ballads/slow songs, Ayu continued the show with upbeat song.. which was Boys & Girls..

Boys & Girls

Though, I was kinda bored with Boys & Girls already since it was not really my fave song and the song has been kept on repeating in every concert but because I was at the concert, I was getting high too.
All the dancers were coming out from the backstage and they started to dance with the song. Ayu and the dancers walked to the center circle stage waving, dancing and greeting the fans at the VIP area (how lucky of them, how I wish that I bought the VIP ticket price).

Then the concert had finally reached the end,

MY ALL

The time had passed real fast when we felt that the concert was just starting but the fact that we were finally at almost the end of the show. Then, MY ALL song started. Ayu started singing then with the dancers walked to the center circle stage again. All of the audience started to do the MY ALL hand moves when Ayu sang the chorus part. Like usual, Ayu introduced the dancers to the audience. We thought that the “ASIA IS ONE” colored paper clips were not thrown to the audience (according to my friend who went to the concert last year), but this year, we were surprised by it but we couldn’t get it since it was only thrown at the VIP area so my friend already took as much as she could for us. Thanks to her.

After finished singing the song, Ayu said that she was happy and asking us whether we were happy or not and she even said, “I’ll see you soon” in the end, does that mean there will be the next ASIA TOUR 2009 ??? since she also said the same thing last year. Everyone gave big round applause for her. Then she ran to the left and right of the stage also the circle stage up front to wave at ppl. And she went back to the middle stage to sign the audience to stay silent. But, got some fans who were kept on shouting her name, kinda rude and she was waiting for quite a long time to wait until all the audience went silent. In the end, Ayu shouted “Arigatou Gozaimashita!!!!”

Then the song “Who…” instrumental was being played 
All the lights were on and all the audience started to find the way out. Some of them were taking pics with the stage including us.

~End of the concert~
Spoiler:
Oh yea, I forgot to tell that each of the seats were actually given WACOAL booklet and the bag, but some ppl were not taking them home, we thought that it was a waste so we took some home. Therefore, we have doubles now 

Finally, we went out from the hall then we saw some ppl queue up to buy the tour merchandises. Then some of us went to queue up to buy more of the merchandises. It was surprising that the tour merchandises didn’t sell out that fast.

Later on, we left the building and went down to the North Hall to meet my friend again. There were lots of fans gathering there waiting for Ayu to go out. But I was pretty tired so I just sat at the pavement and waiting for the other friends to gather. I met with my friend then asked her about the “ASIA IS ONE” colored paper clips, she handed out to us a lot of it. We were so thankful to her. We still waited there and revived our energy then there were 5 Japanese female fans who were standing in front of us and one of our girls suddenly was asked something by them, they were surprised to know that we came all the way from Indonesia. They kept on saying “Sugoi Sugoi” and looked at all of us. Then later, after all 9 ppl had gathered together, I suggested that we took pics with the Japanese fans. Then we approached the Japanese fans and said that we would like to take pics with them, and they were pretty welcome us. Then they noticed that our t-shirts had words “WE LOVE AYU” so they asked us to stand accordingly so the WE LOVE AYU sentence could be seen. They were the ones who should kneel down in front of us. We apologized to them that they were the one who needed to kneel. After that, we chatted for a while then we said that we would go back to the hotel and we said goodbye and kept on saying “Arigatou” to them.

pics with Japanese fans

We didn’t take taxi or subway home anymore because the time was already past 11 pm. So we decided to just walk to the hotel where the hotel was kinda closed to the Grand Stage. On the way back, we kept on discussing about the concert. We were all so excited about the concert and said that we would want to go to Taiwan next year.

this year is totally splendid!!!!!!!
i enjoyed every moment with the team.. they were all very friendly... goshh so missing all of them now

So it was the end of Ayu’s concert day and on the next day we explored other places of Shanghai again..

Sorry guys, it’s such a long report.. but can’t help it…
Thanks for reading it.. really appreciate it 
