fated's lyrics
In masa's translation, the first verse of fated is translated as
"Do you believe in fate -- A momentary encounter That changes everything in your life Before that?" Can someone explain to me what the 'that' in 'Before that' means?

If it's 'before the moment', in which moment = the moment where fate encounters you... then I guess it'll make sense.

Write it like this
"Do you believe in fate -- A momentary encounter that changes everything in your life before that?" It's clearer when you look at it like a sentence, the "that" refers back to "A momentary encounter." I know the fancy grammar word for it, but it's escaping my brain right now

^ Oh it's much clearer now! Sometimes the meaning gets lost or something because they are segmented wrongly. Thanks!

^ Exactly
I hate it when I can't make out a meaning of a sentence because of the segmentation.
