Music Station, etc tapings.

The search function hasn't been working with me for the past week and this isn't an Ayu-specific question, per se, so I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone is able to help me out.

I'm living in Tokyo at the moment and I would love to go see a taping of Music Station (or any other music-y show, for that matter) but after scouring their website, I still cannot for the life of me figure out how one would go about getting tickets for the tapings. I know there's at least a few people in the forum who have gone to something like that before, so...help?

I've heard that they only let the members of the artist's fanclubs in for the taping...

I went to TV Asahi and asked them once. You have to be a member of a fanclub of one of the artists on the show that week. Also you have to be female. (though some performances seem to have exceptions, but in general its women only for Music Station and many other shows) I believe info on how to actually get on the show is delineated through the fan clubs but its not like being in the fanclub gives you an instant pass. Usually there is a lot of competition and only a few lucky people get chosen through a random lottery. There was a foreign Team Ayu member on this board that was lucky enough to get selected for Heyx3 while they were in Tokyo.

If you don't mind just going to any music show though, your best best is probably Music Japan (Popjam). There are actual tickets for that (since its always in a real concert hall) and I have occasionally seen the tickets show up at Tokyo resale shops.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I'm planning on joining TeamAyu and Lotus over the next couple weeks, so maybe I'll get lucky at some point over the next year! In the meantime, I'll go look for info on Music Japan. Thanks guys!

^ Start hoping that Ayu appears on Music Station a lot more than she has been these last few years! I'm also going to be moving to Tokyo in the spring btw. We should definitely finally meet up when there is time sometime.

Omg, definitely! I'll be here until August or so...provided someone can push me on my plane back to the 'states, that is.
