This morning Neyvaa send me a photo from todays local newspaper and suddenly...



...Ayu appeared! That feelt really random. Ayu of all ppl in such a little newspaper in Umeå, Sweden. Oh well, we feelt like we wanted to share this moment with you all. ^^

Music inspires me by Anton Nässlin

I throw myself on the bed. Mum and dad are so annyoing. "Your column is supposed to be handed in tomorrow, and you haven't even started yet!? Remeber that you haveto go to bed at latest 11 o'clock!!". I start iTunes. I need inspiration, and I need it now.
"So, when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you and be strong, and you'll finally see the truth, that a hero lies in you" Mariah Carey sings so beautifuly. But to write about the hero inside? Well, it doesn't seems like so much fun.
"I will be strong on my own, I will see trhough the rain. I will find my way" Christina Aguliera yammers in my ear. "I'll mangage myself-theme" doesn't feel that exciting to write about either. I browse on through my library of songs.
Music and is my inspiration. Music is my comfort. Music is my joy.
I don't think I've written a single column without having listened to music at the same time, and I honestly think that it has affected the result every time.
Some people get their inspiration by sitting in a forest. Others get their inspiration by playing with their cats. I get my inspiration through browsing among the hundreds of artists I've got to choose from in my music library. Which artist that becomes todays source of inspiration is decided by chance when I shuffle my songs.
When Mariah and Chrisitna doesn't manage to catch my interest someone else does. In hy headphones the song "Inspire" by the japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki suddenly starts to play. And that is when I realize it. This is the thing I'm gonna write about. My inspiration!
Music and my friends. That's what does it. It is they who build up my columns, short stories, my life. Most of the characters that I let into my stories have a real person as a source.
That makes them more alive to me.
Everybody need to find their own inspiration.
I have found mine. Who knows which artist will inspire me to my next column. Britney spears, Green Day or Amy Winehouse. That will be a surprise for 3 weeks.
